Islander Beach Resorts have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. A quick stroll across the boardwalk puts you right on the beach! All guests have Free High-Speed Internet access in their unit, as well as wireless Internet access in our lobby..  

The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

All of our daily and weekly guests receive the following complimentary guest package: 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella set up for you on the beach daily (March 1 to October 31); 1 free round of golf at your choice of 6 different courses daily; 1 free pass to a dolphin cruise daily (March to October 31) ; 1 free adult pass to a snorkeling cruise daily (March to September 30) and free WiFi..

  We had a great time at Islander 4008! Beds were comfortable, bedrooms were quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed. There was an Alexa device in the kitchen which was very handy for listening to our favorite music. The only downside was our internet connection would cut out on our personal devices...I was trying to FaceTime with my granddaughter. Check-in/check-out was so convenient. Would definitely stay there again!

  Great low key stay with minimal crowds. Overall, clean condo. The floor of the master bath tub/shower needs a deep scrub, the wall behind the toilet was missed when bathroom was painted and the area rug needs to be steam cleaned under the dining table and the one in the hallway needs replaced or cleaned.

  Loved the room with the space and location. The room was very clean and we were able to get in our room early thanks to the fantastic management! The kitchen had the most dishes and large pots and pans than any place we have ever stayed! The appliances were top knotch! Only missed a meat turner for grill and only had 4 steak knives. The kitchen table had seen better days and the wicker chairs in the family room were not comfortable. We always had hot water for showers. The beds were very comfortable. We played putt putt at Wild Willy's Adventure Zone and loved the take out at Stewby's Seafood Shanty!!

  This is a great unit and my family's 2nd year staying in it. 3rd year in this building. It was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen is stocked well with pots, pans, dishes and anything else you need.The only negative would be that they were painting the building while we were there. Lots of noise at some points but it did not ruin our stay and is not anyone's fault. I am sure they will be done soon. We look forward to going again next year.

  I think my only real complaint would be that the pool is open until 10pm, but it is so dark down there. There needs to be better lighting!

  This condo was in a perfect location on Okaloosa Island. The beach was absolutely beautiful and was just steps away. The pool was heated and was never too crowded. The condo was roomy and we loved the huge balcony with lots of seating. The paint on the cabinets in the kitchen and master bath were peeling off and the dishwasher would tip over as it was not secured under the cabinet. It was advertised that the sleeper sofa was brand new, but this was not the case. The mattress was very thin and slanted down. Quite uncomfortable! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here due to the great location right on the ocean. We would come back!

The cabinets have been measured and new doors are on the way, this is a timely process so we appreciate your patience. The sleeper was purchased brand new last year in 2017, and features the new 5" Memory Foam Mattress...we are so disappointed to hear negative feedback from this new sleeper, our general manager is going to get in there and inspect the shape of this sleeper/mattress to make sure it's up to standards.   Brooks & Shorey called to let us know our condo rental was ready 4 hours early. That's a first for us on rentals. Usually you can't get in until the very last minute! The only thing the condo needs is some cabinet work in the kitchen and more comfortable living room furninture. Other than that, everything was great.

We don't have any early check-in procedure but as the condos get clean we're able to let the guest in so we thank you for the kind comments! This condo is actually in the middle of getting new cabinets purchased. They have to be customized and unfortunately it wasn't able to get done before peak season came in and now we have no time--but trust us we are aware and are working with the owner on getting new cabinets in this condo. Please come see us again and call us to book so we can apply a repeat guest discount for you!

  Our overall stay was wonderful, as usual. This was our second stay in this condo and our 3rd year on Okaloosa. The condo has a wonderful view and is clean and perfect for 4 adults. The only drawbacks were that it needs a new sofa and that there was renovation going on in another condo so it was rather noisy during the day. This was beyond anyone's control but was a little aggravating. Would be nice if the HOA would consider limiting reno to the months that has the least rental history. The condo has easy access to restaurants in both Ft Walton and Destin. Great place to stay.

  Overall a very good experience. Beautiful view of the gulf.Property was clean and in well maintained although they could refinish some of the cabinet doors where paint is peeling off. We spend some time at the Harborwalk in Destin which is only about 15min.away. Very cool place plenty of restaurants. We ate at Margritaville and hung out at AJ,'s. We use to come to Ft.Walton when I was a kid and there were no condo's them just a sleeping fishing village. We had a short stay but I would certainly go back.

  This is my 2nd time to rent from Brooks & Shorey. They are fantastic to deal with, very responsive and helpful. I will continue to use them for all my future rentals. The 4008 Islander condo was very clean and nice. The only issues we had were there weren't any extra blankets in the condo. Also past condos have provided hair dryers, air freshener and a small laundry detergent. This one did not. Other than these small inconveniences, the condo provided us with a great place to stay in a good location. I prefer Okaloosa since it's less crowded then Destin and easy to maneauver.

    We are glad you were able to enjoy your stay with us aside from the small inconvenience. Certain extra items are left by the owner but are not requirements such as hair dryers. Unfortunately, we only provide a starter pod of dish washing soap. Our confirmation letter include a list of what can be expected to be supplied in the unit during your stay .   It was great, clean, pleasant, and well-equipped. Our only concern was that, being directly over the pool, would the noise level be too much for relaxation during the summer/hot months. It was fine while we were there but only a few used the pool and having it locked up at night certainly was a huge relief. We have stayed at other condos at the Islander, before you locked the pool up at 10:00 and found it to be an interference. We have stayed in many condos at Ft. Walton and in Gulf Shores and this was, by far, the cleanest. Thank You! Also sincerely appreciate the fast, courteous, help with clean sheets for the sleep sofa when we could not find them. We have kept this information and plan to request this unit through Brooks and Shorey whenever we come again.

    There is a Publix grocery store right before you turn onto Okaloosa Island this is probably about three miles from the condo itself. There are also several restaurants in the local Fort Walton Beach area (inc the Black Pearl Crab trap Helen Back...and several others that would be highly recommended) that are local favorites, I'm sorry that to hear that you drove into to Destin for these things as it was certainly not necessary! We are glad you got to indulge in the spectacular views of the gulf from this the Islander 4008 and got some much needed beach time in! We hope to see you next summer, don't forget to take advantage of your returning guest discount if you are considering returning!

  Location was everything for this one; 4th floor overlooking the pool and beach, huge balcony. Boardwalk very conveniently located and walk to the water is very short. Easily accessible from main highway and much less crowded then nearby Destin. Interior was clean, and decor was very nice. Normal wear and tear on a rental property. Two king sized beds was nice and both were comfortable. Ample space for 4-6 people. A few maintenance issues upon arrival that were quickly fixed. The free movies that are advertised were not on property; the card provided did not work in the resort machine and we never did find what machine we were supposed to use. Staff at the rental company was polite but not especially welcoming or helpful. Inconvenient to have to return to the rental office the next day if you arrive after hours or be charged $55. Condo was expensive for what it was on the interior, but the location helped make up for it. Would definitely return to this beach and this resort, but might not book through Brooks and Shorey.

  Overall we enjoyed our stay; however, unit did not appear to be updated as advertised. It was clean and just painted but kitchen cabinets paint was peeling badly and window treatments were dingy looking. Also, we found the sliding glass door bottom frame to be a safety hazard as it was raised 3 or 4 inches from floor and easy to stumble over. We had to keep a chair in front of it to remind us to step over it as not to fall. Also we found it very noisy during the day as units around us were being renovated; a lot of jackhammer type noise. On the plus side the ocean view and the beach was great.

  The property and the location are great, the weather could have been alittle warmer. The opportunity to walk on the beach or on the street was nice.The patio furniture should be replaced,maybe with the new season it will happen.

  Stay was very good, the unit is well decorated and very comfortable. the only problem is that it says in the ad that the property has a hot tub, which I was so looking forward to using every day, however there is none. My next stay will be at a property that has a hot tub or else one that is priced cheaper. Paying for an amenity that is not there upsets me!

  I loved how the property management company did not over-manage the experience. When I picked the keys up, they were very helpful and made some recommendations. The rest was up to me and my group. At the end of the stay, I simply dropped the keys off. Trusting your customers is the greatest form of professionalism. I highly recommend this company.

  Patio floor filthy, no Bdrm 2 bedcover, covered furniture spoiled/worn, and unit countertop, cabinets, every wall, most flooring in ALL white dispiriting. However, kitchen was well stocked. With update and color, this unit could be awesome.

  The window (inside) and the ledge and blinds in the dining area were filthy. the comforter in the master bdroom was nasty.The master bathtub did not drain while showering. The dishwasher did not work. I have stayed at this property 3 other times and this
  condo was the worst. It has not been kept up very well.I love the convenience of this propertybut not the cleanliness of this unit.

  Our stay was nice and the Islander 4008 was a great condo. The only thing that was upsetting was Friday I asked that someone come see about the dishwasher and the ceiling fan in the master room. The fan was making a horrible noise and made it difficult to sleep and at first we could not put dishes washing because the dishwasher would not reset. We eventually got the dishwasher to work by turning off the breaker so it would reset. As far as the fan, if you turned it down it was not as loud; however it would get hot. If they want you to leave the air conditioner set at 75 then all the ceiling fans should work properly.
  When we left on Monday no one had come to see about either.

  Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the free amenities. The beach chairs with umbrellas were great to have without the hourly fee we have had at other places in the past. The dolfin cruise was great and my son and son-in-law enjoyed the free golf.
  The beach is RIGHT THERE! Pool was nice too. We will definitely use Brooks and Shorey again.

  Patio furniture was very rusted. Floors were dirty - baby crawling had black knees and feet. Wooden den rug was old and dirty. Elevator is unvented, slow and antiquated. Rents were very high considering condition of condo.

• The condon was really nice. The only complant I have is the master bedroon bed is very worn. After the second night I had severe bad pain. I got a message witch help. We use the guest bed room the last night. I suggest you get a new mattress.

  Had a wonderful time with no complaints. Unfortunately, a co-worker cannot say the same. Her air conditioning and fridgerator did not work IN JUNE WHEN IT GETS REALLY HOT! They fixed it the next day but did not give her any discount at all for her and her family's discomfort.

  Perfect location right on the beach-just walk through the pool area into the powdery white sand! The place included everything we needed, including beach umbrella and chairs set up by the property management each day. We were there in early May when the crowds were light - ideal for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Highly recommend.
