Ft Walton was relatively quiet, but close to Destin and other areas that had fun things to do. We would definitely return to Ft Walton Beach and would stay at Pelican Isle.

  From booking to changing to another unit with walk in shower for my wife who had back surgery to check in we had a great experience with this rental. We were able to get the door code by 2 pm so we could go to the grocery store on our way into town. This saved unloading the car then going out to the store. The umbrella and chairs on the beach were nice. Kept from having to haul that equipment from the car as we have done in prior stays. Alexa was nice. Pool gate code took a little getting used to but understand the need for it. Check out was a breeze. I’d definitely stay with brooks and Shorey again.

  We went strictly to relax and enjoy the view and sound of the water. My wife is unable to walk to the water and we aren't big fans of sitting in the sun nor swimming but the sight and sound of the water is so relaxing and enjoyable so we loved it. Got some great meals and some "Really Great" Donuts at Parlor Donuts on Miracle Strip Parkway !!! The Condo was very spacious and clean with all the comforts of home, but with a fantastic view of the beach and the Gulf. Very easy to get to all the activities .. only a couple of miles off the main drag.

  We were fortunate that this property became available for the time frame we needed on our short notice planning schedule. We didn't need the extra bedroom, but the cost was still better than hotels in the area and much better than just a hotel room. We loved it and the location and view were perfect - and we were able to hear the waves as well as see them. My wife has limited mobility, so we spent our time on the balcony and loved every minute of it. Check in and room access was very easy. The room is next to the elevators and it was very quiet (except for the waves and the sliding doors blocked that sound completely when closed).

  Unit was very clean, but the ice maker didn’t work. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of everything you need. I didn’t pay enough attention to the description of the condo. The living area and balcony were quite a bit smaller than expected (great photography), though the other areas were fine. Note there’s no dining table, just a bistro set and a bar for sitting. Not the best setup for family meals or games. Outside the hot tub was closed by HOA directive, but the pool was open.

  We would stay in this unit again. It is beautifully updated and decorated. An added bonus were all the books, so many of the exact genre I enjoy. The unit is located next to the elevators and both bedrooms open to the adjacent hallway, so we were concerned that elevator traffic and noise would be a problem, but that wasn't an issue. My husband thought the king size bed was very uncomfortable, but it was ok for me. The kitchen is well equipped, yet missing some very basic equipment: there was no cutting board, no rubber scrapers/spatulas, and only one large spoon to stir food while cooking. Of the 6 beautiful barstools, sadly 5 of the cane seats are broken out or breaking. The upholstered sofa and side chair had funky smells, and the latter was visibly dirty, so we covered them with the extra set of sheets provided for the sleeper sofa in order to be comfortable to sit on them. The little home office area in the hall is unique and very handy for keeping the electronics corralled into one area.

  We actually were supposed to stay in PCB, but the hurricane led us here and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! Cute, cozy uodated condo! Had everything we needed, including a wine fridge and huge TV's in every room! It was just my husband and I this time and we were pleased with the entire place. Everything down to the reserved covered parking, hot tub, pool and reserved chairs and umbrellas. We caught up on our Netflix shows at night, but they did offer free movie rentals also. Our first time at FWB and we liked how central located we were to everything. Only cons would be if you have a whole family staying, while it's got a huge master bedroom/bathroom and other bedroom/bathroom, there is not much space to eat for dinner. One table with 2 chairs and 4 barstools. It wouldn't be a big deal for us but you def couldn't sit down as a family. Not really anywhere to put your food that wasn't refrigerated so we had to leave it out on the counter and the carpet could be replaced in the bedrooms, but also NOT a deal breaker because everything else was great! We plan on coming back! Thanks for everything!

  Pelican Isle is a nice facility directly on the beach. We have been coming down to this area for 25 years and this is our first stay at this location. We were not dissapointed. Is is a little far down the beach from Fort Walton, but overall a good property. Bedrooms are large and kitchen is updated. Great TV's in bedrooms and Living Room. As always when facing the water, a great view of the Gulf and sand. Enjoy your time on the beach!

  We were disappointed when we were notified on a Sunday night that the condo we booked was under construction and the pool off limits - we were scheduled to arrive that next Wednesday. But, staff at Brooks and Shorey offered to move us to a condo with a pool and with all the other features of the original condo. We really liked the condo! The beach was in view from the kitchen and the living room. The patio was perfect for two. The location was only minutes from restaurants; Destin was only a 10 minute drive away. Loved having our own indoor reserved parking space! The FREE movie rentals was a nice touch, too. We would definitely come back to stay here! The only complaint is the last minute swap into a condo that had a working pool and no construction going on and the carpet in the condo was stained and really needs to be replaced with tile.

  First, we have to thank Barbara at the desk for helping us find the unit and for letting us stay 10 days vs the usual Sat. to Sat.only period. Check-in was easy and fast. Upon arrival, we found the condo very pleasing: immaculately clean, nice decor, great furniture, fantastic kitchen, and full sized washer and dryer. All appliances are new or almost-new and are upper grade quality. Tv and internet was excellent. Bathrooms were nice looking and comfortable, everything worked fine. King-size bed had a good mattress, we slept well. Only two of us were in the rental, but we felt the extra room and extra-nice quality of everything was worth upgrading from a 1 BR unit. Location of the building was desirable in that the west end of Okaloosa Island seems less crowded and we liked the family atmosphere that condo owners promote. Our best compliment to the owner(s) of 507 is that we felt at home and really did not want to leave. We are grateful to everyone involved.

  Again a wonderful time in Fort Walton Beach! The views form the balcony of the Gulf are always amazing and we enjoyed our two weeks. We will be back again as we have come to enjoy Pelican Isle immensely. Barbara, from Brooks and Shorey, anticipated our arrival and made sure we had access to our unit even though we were arriving late. Several deliveries were made to us through the front desk of mail/purchases and she went out of her way to make sure we received these items. Very professional. The unit was great and we felt like we were at home.

  The original condo we had rented down the street for 4 years was sold and new owner decided not to rent. Brooks and Shorey called me immediately to advise and offered numerous other condos I could choose. We were apprehensive but upon arrival very pleased with the Pelican Isle condo. Lovely condo with furnishings and appliances. The view was incredible. There were plenty of bath towels and even beach towels. This condo also has a private parking space in the parking garage which was nice since we had couple days of rain. I am very glad we experienced a different condo setting.
