Gulfside Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin, it has a rooftop pool area that provides one of the best views on Okaloosa Island. Guests can get to the beach from the boardwalk at the base of the parking area and can use a barbeque grill that is located along this boardwalk as well.

  Very clean and the furniture was very comfortable. Beds are wonderful. The living area pictures are not correct. There is a new couch but there is not a loveseat. That made for limited seating for our party of four. There are only 2 chairs on the balcony so limited seating there also. Nicely updated bathrooms, except counter in master bath. Kitchen has not been updated but appliances were new. Nice set of cookware available, but there is not a crockpot. Cooking utensils provided were just the basics, but adequate.

  Overall it was a great vacation. The unit is super spacious and overall clean. There are a few things that could make this unit perfect. The kitchen needs some pitcher for tea and better pots and pans. The mattress is nice but the bedding is cheap. It needs better sheets and covers.

  This was a very nice condo and location but had a few problems with my stay! The pool was closed for 3 days due to painting which really sucked. Then the elevator didn’t work off and on the whole stay. I have severe back problems and had to climb stairs almost daily! Other than that I guess would’ve been very nice. For the price I was very unsatisfied!

  My husband and I rented this condo for our Honeymoon and it was perfect for 2 people. It was clean and looked just like the photos from online. Check in and out was made easy by the app provided by the company. The beach was beautiful and we had great views from our balcony. We also like that it was a short drive to Destin to do more activities there. Some activities we enjoyed were mini golf at Big Kahunas and The Air Force Armament Museum. Some restaurants we enjoyed were The Cowhead, McGuires, Props, and Fokkers.

  Great location and property was clean. The kitchen pots & pans were not very good- the teflon was peeling off so did not use. Also, we could not connect to WiFi after multiple attempts and was referred to Cox, the cable company to try to resolve ourselves. Brooks and Shorey should have taken care of this problem for us. We were very disappointed that the internet did not work, and no one from Cox returned our calls.

Code for pool and an email had said the packing permits would not be in the room but had to be picked up or printed from an email that came after we had started travel down there. Also, the elevator door call buttons were getting worn and need some attention as it took multiple pushes at different angles sometimes to get them to work.

  Enjoyed my stay at this condo. Being gulf front is a big perk ! Had no issues except the last night, the people in the condo directly above me were noisy and heavy-footed most of the evening.
  I was also disappointed in not seeing any hand soap in the kitchen or bathrooms. With Covid still being an issue, antibacterial hand soap would have been nice. I has to go back to the store to purchase.
  Beach chairs were always available and the rooftop pool was always clean, with the exception of sand in the bottom. But not everybody follows rules and showers off properly before entering.

  We have done an annual mother/daughter beach trip for many years. We’ve rented from quite a few of the complexes on Okaloosa Island. This was our best! Clean, good quality linens, very tasteful decor. Extremely roomy for a one bedroom. Furniture was very comfortable. Loved the full washer and dryer in a large utility area located in the hallway. Covered parking was a nice bonus. The complex is on the edge of the dunes so it’s a very short walk to the waters edge. My only recommendation would be that the complex had a more user friendly area for washing off sand before entering the building. We loved this condo!

  The location of this condo could not be more perfect. The walk to the water is a breeze and you are within a very short drive to a lot of fun activities. Also, the beach chair service was AMAZING! Thank goodness there was a grocery store close by. You will need to go to the store and stock up on anything and everything that you might need to stay there for an extended time(i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, spices/seasonings to cook, etc.). The building the condo is in was so quiet and the people that we did encounter were very nice. The condo itself is nice. We have a family of 4 with smaller children so it worked perfect for us. The kids did say that the fold out bed was a little uncomfortable, but not a deal breaker. All in all, we had a great stay! We would definitely consider renting this condo again!

  This is a GREAT location right on the beach! We appreciated the chair service! The unit above was being remodeled so we were woken up VERY early for 4-5 days so it would have been good to know in advance. There needs to be a bit of updating on cabinets, lighting and ceiling but overall a nice unit. Not a fan of plastic dishes or glasses that were provided. Very easy to travel to Destin and 30A area!

  Enjoyed this condo very much!! Perfect size for my husband and I !! The unit had everything had a huge balcony with a great breeze!! And the rooftop pool..perfection!! If we had to find one thing to critique if would be the mattress on the bed wasnt comfy..toooo firm. Wefound oursekves having achy backs and getting out of bed earluer than wanted to relieve it...maybe a nice fluffy matress pad topper would help.
  But we loved the unit location..loved the small 15 unit building..and that it was never crowded..and pool becer vrowded either..usually we had it to ourselves!!

  We were very comfortable at Gulfside 302. The booking and checking process was very easy. Everything was done online, we got a call with the door code, so we did not have to mess with paperwork or finding an office. The condo was very clean and spacious. The balcony view is amazing. The beaches were very clean and not too crowded which made for a great visit. We loved our trip.

  This condo was really nice. I loved the tile floors the big tile throughout was beautiful. Right on the beach and the view is spectacular. Sunsets awesome and even seen the fireworks that is shot off every Wednesday night in Destin , we could see them from our balcany. Only thing was a faint mildew smell coming from vents in living riom. Very faint I would definitely rent this one again.

  We had a great stay loved the condo. We only had one minor issue with the WiFi connection. The folks from Brooks & Shorey came over to the property and within a short time helped to resolve the issue. This wasn't a big deal for us but if you had clothes that might need to be on a hanger you'll need to bring your own or purchase them. There weren't any in the condo.

  We stayed at gulfside for our family vacation. This is a smaller condo, which I think is better then the huge condos. Less people coming and going. Also less people at the beach and in the pool. The room was perfect for our family. The condo is kinda awkwardly long, but nothing you can't get used to. When we first walked in the smell of fresh fish was horrible. I'm pretty sure someone had stored fish in the freezer, but after a day or two the smell disappeared. The condo could probably use a fresh painting job, but other than that the condo had everything we needed. The free beach chairs were amazing!!!! We definitely got use out of them. The condo had plenty of towels and that's always a plus! We would probably stay here again, but I think we decided that we like the Destin area better.

  The condo was very clean well nicely done the kitchen had everything one would need best of all were the views and the proximity to the beach It was perfect. I have one suggestion. The book with things to do. We didn't find it under the tv stand until the last day. Maybe it would be better displayed on the kitchen table to see when you first come in the condo.

  The place is a bit dated but not in bad shape. It has newer furniture and is very clean. It is easy to access the beach from this place. The keypad to enter the room is also convenient as you don't have to keep up with any keys. Would definitely stay here again!

  Love the area and this condo worked perfectly for a long weekend getaway. The view from the balcony was spectacular! I particularly enjoyed staying in a smaller complex which meant the beach was not crowded at all and there was plenty of room to relax without anyone on top of you. I would suggest fresh paint throughout the unit and a few small upgrades that would freshen up the place. It looks a little "tired". Other than that I enjoyed my stay! The bed was SO comfy and slept like a baby! Important for me since I have lower back issues.

With its natural beauty, this is truly a place where you can relax and unwind.   Gulfside is in a great location and has the only rooftop pool on the island. Plus: great views, covered parking, chair and umbrella service included. Property management super friendly and quick to send maintenance when needed. Minus: not enough seating in living room and very uncomfortable furniture. Kitchen not very well equipped if you plan to cook.
