  We visited in early May. Emerald Towers West was a great location on the island. We liked the fact that the building was a bit smaller and closer to the end of the island. The beach was not as crowded as some of the larger condo complexes. The umbrellas were spaced further apart which was important to us. I don't like to feel like I am sitting right on top of other people.
  The best thing about the condo is the view. You can't get any better. We loved the balcony and sitting outside to eat meals.
  Overall the condo was nice. The beds were very firm. I would recommend the owners purchase memory foam toppers. The showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The floors and balcony deck could use a good clean. The unit is right next to the elevator. I would recommend ear plugs for anyone sleeping in the second bedroom as the window is right next to the elevator area. Other guests were polite and respectful but you can still hear general noise.
  We did have some trouble figuring out the TV. There are hundreds of channels but we could not seem to find the standard networks to watch a program on NBC. It would have been nice to have a list of channels or some basic instructions.
  We had a wonderful trip and would return again to this building and unit.

  Condo was great. It was actually better than expected as the couch was different/better than the pictures. We brought an air mattress and were pleasantly surprised to not need it and use the pull out bed from the couch. The kitchen was properly furnished with great pots and pans. The Tom Thumb next door was super convenient and the private beach was wonderful.
  
  Only small complaint is that the fans/light in the living room and bed room are on the same frequency, so when one is changed, they all changed unless you flipped the switch off, first. Took a bit to figure out but wasn't bad.

  Due to the Covid, and not being sure we could travel, we booked our vacation later than we normally would. Needed a condo with 2 rooms and king size beds in both. There were 3 to chose from. We chose Emerald Twrs West by Brooks and Shorey. We were all very happy with the location and, being a smaller building, didn't have a large crowd on the beachfront. The condo was very clean and the perfect size for my family of 4. There were a couple of holes in the ceiling that needed patched up. Both beds were very uncomfortable and could have used new mattresses. Also the couch was not comfortable as well as the patio furniture. The chairs were the tall bar table type made from wood and had dingy stained cushions that stayed wet after it rained. Lounge chairs would have been more preferable to relax on the balcony and enjoy the view. We did enjoy our stay and more than likely will return. If just a few changes could be made to make it more comfortable (mainly the bed and patio furniture) this would make it 5 stars in our book!

  From the start we were grateful for the app we downloaded from Brooks and Shorey Resorts. It made the check in and out process an easy breeze. It also gave us easy access to all the information we needed related to our stay along with many extra tips regarding things to do and restaurants in the area. All at the tip of our fingers whenever we needed it. The condo was beautiful with breathtaking views! We especially loved the wall of mirrors in the living room that magnified the beach and gulf views and brought them to almost everywhere in the condo! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The condo was tastefully and freshly decorated reflecting the homeowners attentions to details. We enjoyed our balcony area soaking up the many sights and sounds of beachfront life and got to see dolphins swimming on several occasions. We had easy beach access with umbrellas and chairs set up daily for us. We took advantage of the half price sunset dolphin cruises that were offered with our rental that were lots of fun! We definitely would recommend this condo and Brooks and Shorey resorts! Thank you for a great all around experience.

  Overall, our rental was wonderful. Condo clean and beautiful. One problem, well actually two, neither shower works in the bathrooms! Big problem at the beach and you want to rinse off saltwater and sand. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this condo. VERY family friendly.

  Absolutely perfect condo. Decor was amazing! Had absolutely no problems with anything. One thing I would suggest, only because I forgot mine, at least one laundry pod.
  Condo was equipped perfectly, with everything needed to function in a kitchen. Sufficient towels for the amount of stays. No issues.
  we never got to rent movies, as I believe having to go to a different location for that was bothersome. But we were there for the beach so not a big deal. Had breakfast on the balcony on all nights.. it was just breathtaking. Perfect location and view of the ocean. They do however lower the umbrellas rather early. One day they were put away by 12pm..noon.. only had up for 2 hours. We did take advantage of the free seablaster tour...amazing

  Cons - the elevator was out half a day, we had a disabled person with us which made this difficult.

  ...and a faulty elevator;) great view of the beach and easy access. although updated, some easy things were missed ie. bathroom sink fixtures in the kitchen, rust on air intake vents. we really have no serious complaints, everything worked, plenty of room for the four of us. the only thing we would suggest is updated matresses, these are MURDER! & nicer furniture on balcony. local fire dept is very responsive as one of us got trapped in a faulty elevator, repair company was fast to respond as was local FD

  It was a great experience to have taken our first family trip to Florida. I recommend Fort Walton Beach to all families that love the Destin area, but don't want to deal with all the traffic. The great thing about the location was you could drive 5 minutes and be in Destin for all the food and shopping. The Emerald Towers West was a good property, and it was family friendly. Maintenance was very responsive when we needed them to look at a leak in the fridge. Turned out to be nothing major. All in all we were pleased with the amenities, and the closeness to the water. We really enjoyed our stay and look to go back next year.

  Our unit was very, very comfortable; we were happy with evertything except the leaking refrigerater and leaking toilet in master bath. Maintence was very, very prompt. Through no fault of the management company, our move in date was postponed for a week, and a credit was issued. All in all, this is a wonderful place to get "away from it all" for awhile.

  We always come in mid September after kids are back in school as it is much more restful. The views from the balcony at ETW are wonderful and we had very quiet neighbors which makes a huge difference. There was a smoker on a balcony near us that was a bit unpleasant but it wasn't constant. We really enjoy the umbrella and chairs that are part of the ETW package. The first time we stayed was with our kids and they were disappointed that the pool was street side and not gulf side. Now that we are "childless" that is a plus as we can sit on the balcony and hear just the waves and no pool play. We also opted for a 2 bedroom even though it was just the two of us because the master bedroom is gulf side rather than corridor side as it is for a 1 bedroom. That way you aren't disturbed by noisy people coming back to their condo late at night. We'll be back.

  Overall, we had a very nice stay. Beautiful view of the beach & ocean. The building is older & could use some updating. The sliding doors to the balcony were hard to open & close. We could hear every time the people staying above us opened & closed their doors too. Other than that, the place was quiet. The first time we used the bathroom, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall & later the shower curtain rod fell down. Cooking utensils were at a bare minimum. Wanted to bake pizzas one day but no cookie sheets. No foil, plastic wrap or baggies provided either. Ran out of trash bags during our week stay too. Did have plenty of nice fluffy bath towels & wash rags. Was pleasantly surprised to find boogie boards & other beach supplies there. The daily set up of umbrella & 2 beach chairs was wonderful to have. Was nice to not have to drag those things back & forth. FYI they take these down around 5:00 daily. Chairs also do not recline flat, so no sunning possible while lying on your stomach. Pool & BBQ grill were clean.

  Overall, we were very pleased with the condo. Only a few things need to be addressed. The furniture on the balcony needs to be cleaned or replaced, and the sliding glass door was very dirty.   We were not provided with directions nor an address when we picked up our package after hours. We drove around for an hour and didn't arrive until 2:00 am. There were sugar ants in the kitchen. Mgt very rude when we experienced a lock-out. We were told it was a $35 fee when the info on the refrigerator said $25. These things did not help our vacation experience.

  This condo is a great room that's fully stocked with everything you need to have a blast at the beach. My only complaints (and these are minor) one of the fans in the master bedroom wobbled and squeaked loudly. The +'s about this place far outweighed that issue though. The location was great for the kids to play on the beach all day long. 4 golf courses to choose from each day of your stay for free! I'll definitely be back to ETW next year.

  We absolutely love Emerald Towers West. The location is perfect for a less dense population on the beach, yet close enough to all the things we want to do. We're definately booking again next year.

  The condo was clean and the furniture and amenities were nice but the second bedroom had no remote control, the internet connection and the only DVD player were in the living room where the only TV with PS or X-Box hook-ups were available which made it impossible to watch TV, play games or internet at the same time. This condo was inadequate if you are bringing children and have the 3 days of rain we had (which I know is not your fault) It would have been nice if we could have all enjoyed being there even in the rain. On the otherhand, the staff at Brooks and Shorey was very nice when we booked the condo and we will probably call to book again, just not at that condo. (We will asked more questions when we do, this was our first time to take children and didn't consider not having DVD or internet in the rooms) Thank you, Robert and Carol Zorn

  I really liked the layout of the place with the master bedroom having its own view and access to the balcony. The windows were nice and big to allow for a landscape view. The only complaints are there was no dish soap, dishwasher detergent, clothes detergent, or shampoo provided...and the soap provided for showers was minimal. It would also be nice to have some paper towels. These are expected amenities for an expensive condominium rental.
