Gulfside is one of the smaller complexes offering only 15 units, so if you are looking to avoid the crowds, then this is the place for you! The beach always feels private and quiet compared to the larger properties. This second-floor corner condo is real hidden gem! Unit has streaming TV only.

The sleeping arrangements in this unit are as follows: master bedroom - 1 king bed, 2nd bedroom - 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. Sleeper sofa in the living room. This unit sleeps 7.

Gulfside Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin, it has a rooftop pool area that provides one of the best views on Okaloosa Island. Guests can get to the beach from the boardwalk at the base of the parking area and can use a barbeque grill that is located along this boardwalk as well.

All of our daily and weekly guests receive the following complimentary guest package: 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella set up for you on the beach daily (March 1 to October 31); 1 free round of golf at your choice of 6 different courses daily; 1 free pass to a dolphin cruise daily (March to October 31); 1 free adult pass to a snorkeling cruise daily (March to September 30) and free WiFi.

  This was a nice time for just my husband and I to really enjoy the peace that comes with the beach. The condo was in great shape and very, very clean. I enjoyed the kitchen being fully supplied with everything you need to cook and serve with ready and waiting to be used. We had a tiny issue of the surface bulb over the stove not working, but I let the office know and a maintenance man came a few hours later and had it fixed. Brooks and Shorey are wonderful to work with, always pleasant and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed Rockin Tacos, Anglers, McQuires Irish Pub and of course who can resist a Whataburger burger. Mostly I appreciate the umbrella and chairs set up for me every day to enjoy!!! That is a huge THANK YOU!! Okaloosa Island is a tremendously beautiful and very clean white sands beach a pleasure to visit. Everyone should have the opportunity to put their toes in the sand and breathe in that fresh air and swim in that beautiful water. We will be back in October, we are usually there once a year.   Our stay with Brooks and Shorey Resorts was amazing. We enjoyed our time there. Everyone I worked with was amazing. I was in several condos while we were there this might be an older condo but it was roomy, homey, quiet and the balcony and chairs were great too. Our grandchildren were at times the only people in the pool. The walk to the beach and chairs come in handy also. The free golf, dolphin tours were awesome.

  The unit and the property in general were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately our timing was not the greatest. Wind and riptides during mid May prevented us from fully enjoying the beach. Also, the rooftop pool was amazing but cold during our trip. Beds were comfortable with plenty of towels, etc. Only maintenance problem was that the gate to the pool malfunctioned and so we didn't get to acess the pool at all on our last day there.

  If you need a home away from home and take you into the full view of the ocean and beautiful beach, then this is the place. ITS BEAUTIFUL. The items in the condo were well thought through, the items in the kitchen were ample enough to cook for a big group of guests. The nearby retail store Publix is such an added plus that you do not need to carry stuff from home, including nearby restaurants and stores. The umbrella and chair services are awesome. The beaches are so clean and not crowded. The pool on the terrace is an instant hit with the kids. This place is equidistant to many nearby beaches. The parking is sufficient. You will feel safe at this condominium. On the caution side, just make sure beforehand that the WiFi issue has been fixed as the WiFi does not work at all.

  Loved the location - great view of the beach and with small children this allowed us to be low to the ground and see the beach after they went to sleep. Very conducive to children, with small child beds in the one room. My boys loved it! The rooftop pool was also amazing with children since they were able to swim while my husband and I enjoyed the view of the gulf. Kitchen was well stocked, bed was not the most comfortable but everything else was excellent and we plan to stay again even with the short list of negatives.

  Stayed in this condo 3 nights. We were very happy with the location. The building as a whole was nice, however, the condo needs a little TLC. It's an older condo with thrift store furniture and kitchen utensils. The carpet in the bedrooms was past its prime. The cable had very limited channels. The furniture on the balcony was very nice. We made do for our stay but would not stay in this particular condo again. It was very nice to have the beach chairs/umbrella and covered parking included in our stay. I will continue to use Brooks and Shorey Resorts for vacation rentals.

  Our rental unit was great! It’s an older unit in a small building (only 15 total units).The unit was neat and clean upon arrival. One benefit of this unit is you get 2 chairs and an umbrella set up daily at the beach for no additional charge. We used this service 2 days while we were there. The section of the beach wasn’t as crowded as the areas in front of the big high rise condos and hotels. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone!

  Unit #203 is a great location, the overall building is nice and quiet. We took our grandbabies for a few days so they could be in the beach on pool - this place was great for that. It does need updating, the wall finishings are dated, the bathroom fixtures need updating, the salt water has certainly made it's mark on the space, but in general - it was clean and well stocked. While we didn't use the pots and pans, there were plenty and the utensils were also nice... We have been to other places and it was a hodge podge of stuff, this was better than that. Overall - very satisfied.

    Gulfside is a lovely place to vacation with a small family!! This 15 unit condo building makes peacefulness and relaxation the top priority so all guests really enjoy. There is nothing like the rooftop pool and view from there. We will have the mattresses in this condo inspected for purchase date and functionality/comfort however we appreciate you keeping in mind the fact that mattress comfort is a personal preference and sometimes even brand new mattresses aren't comfy to every single guest.   This Condo is great. It's in a wonderful location with an awesome view of the Gulf. We watched dolphins every morning from the balcony! The only problem we had was the hurricane blew in some rain in the back sliding door leading to the balcony and the carpet got wet. I emailed the office and never heard back from them about anything. The carpet started smelling a little but not enough for us to complain and raise a ruckus. Overall it was a wonderful stay! Everything was neat and tidy and clean upon arrival. I have already looked into staying in this unit again next year for the same time but it's booked up already. I will definitely come back to this one again.

  We had a wonderful time staying right on the beach in the second floor condo! It had everything we needed. There were 7 of us and it never felt like there were 7 of us staying there. Plenty of room, very clean and comfortable. It was a keyless entry which was great for coming and going and not having to worry about losing keys. We were 8 miles from Destin so we were out of the touristy area. Beach was amazingly clean and beautiful white sand! We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!

  We only had a short time away but always love the Destin/Ft. Walton area's! This condo was conveniently located on Okaloosa Island with easy access to whatever you're interested in doing/seeing. The management company noted that there's no guarantee of getting into the condo at the 4:00 PM time. This is true in our case... Unfortunately it was 5:00 PM CST before we received the call that it was cleaned and ready to enter. We were disappointed mostly because in the last 15 years of renting via VRBO, we've never had a delay and generally able to enter early.
  
  The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Personally, I think the carpet should be replaced with tile (or something that doesn't hold stains and easily cleanable between guests). The furniture outside is a bit tired and stained as well. But served it's purpose.
  
  The staff was friendly and well organized when we went to their office to check in. Probably wouldn't recommend this particular condo to a friend mostly because of the cost vs overall condition.

We do our best to ensure a quick and easy check in process however during busier months due to our high standards for cleanliness, not all units will be ready for check-in promptly at 4:00 p.m. We do ask for your patience and suggest that you have alternate plans available between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in case the unit is not yet ready.   Overall we had a great stay. The location is perfect, and the management company is really easy to work with. The unit itself is outdated, and is showing it's age. There were some things like mold in the bathroom and a strong odor coming from the closet. For the price we thought these things would not be present. The beach is right out the door, and you can't beat that.

  This property is showing some age, but for us, it was worth the sacrifice of a plush state-of-the art facility for a small development and non-crowded beach. We will definitely stay at Gulfside again. Brooks and Shorey was easy to work with and was also one of the few rental agencies who don't require a Saturday to Saturday check-in. We simply couldn't stay seven whole nights, which left most condos off the table for us.

  A nice, quiet condo location right on the powder white beach of Okaloosa Island. It was clean and neat and comfortable. Had all the amenities necessary. Great rooftop pool and our unit came with umbrella and comfortable canvas beach chairs already set up on the beach. The owners of several units were friendly and gave us advice on new restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

  Our group of 7,which included 3 children, had a wonderful week of sun and fun in this unit. It was clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the generous living area.   The condo is right on beach and has great view. The condo accommodated our family of seven nicely. I did wish we could all fit a dinner table together though.
  I would recommend to others. There were just a few negatives, the pool was freezing and our kitchen lacked some basic cooking items that would have helped and the wifi was not very consistent.

The pool at Gulfside is not heated however, 90% of the time... with the Florida sun beating down on it this is not an issue. However, the roof top pool does allow for amazing sunsets/sunrises... an unforgettable bonus to this property! With regards to the WiFi, this is a system that blankets the whole property and we have not had any complaints regarding this, however always feel free to reach out to us when you are at property and we will always do our best to resolve any issues that you may have.   The view was spectacular! The room was clean and very spacious. The only thing was the light outside the master bedroom window that was bright at night, but with the curtain pulled down, it blocked out most of the light. We enjoyed watching the dolphins outside on our patio.

  This is our second stay in this unit, as it was too late to book it when we did our Destin trip last year (stayed in another Brooks and Shorey unit instead). We wanted to come back to this unit because of its spacious floorplan, due to it being a corner unit. The porch quickly became a favorite gathering spot for our family. Overall, the unit is quite comfortable and we are already looking forward to returning next year for our family beach trip.

  Loved this location very much - enjoyed the beach not being packed. A few thoughts/suggestions - clean floors in pool bathroom on a much better schedule didn't seem they had been cleaned/mopped in a long time. Find a way to put a couple of umbrellas/covers in pool area - loved the pool but had to wait til evening time due to sun ( would of gone much more since beach was covered in seaweed the entire time) - staff to communicate better as far a check in - we arrived in town at 8am ( knowing our check in was at 4) but staff knew we were waiting as we spoke many times and when 4 arrived they then informed us that no one had even checked out the place even though we had been checking in ---- but we will be back next year and in same room if possible loved everything about it --- thanks so much

  The condo needs updated.
  The master bathroom shower was very small and the hot water ran out within 5 min.
  Our sleeping at night was rough. You can hear everything going on outside in the master bedroom. The walls are very thin.
  The pool on top of the building was a cool location but was not heated so we couldn't really enjoy it.
  The best part was the location and view. That was great.

  Had a great time, love the rooftop pool! The front door bottom seal is shredded. No lock on patio slider. Hallway ceiling looks like past unfixed water damage. Carpets need cleaning in several rooms. These are small repairs that would make a big impact on health and safety.
