Islander Beach Resorts have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. A quick stroll across the boardwalk puts you right on the beach! All guests have Free High-Speed Internet access in their unit, as well as wireless Internet access in our lobby..  
Islander Beach Resort has a two vehicle limit.
The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

  It was great and quiet stay overall. The only negative things I have are the bed was very uncomfortable and headboard kept hitting the wall everytime you move in the bed which was annoying because I didn’t want neighbors to complain if we had any and the dishes were not clean at all, I pulled out a pan that had crumbs in it and a bowl that was very greasy so I didn’t like I basically had to wash my dishes before I used them. We are having our wedding there next year in May and that’s why we chose to stay in one of the condos there, it is a little scary because I don’t want my family and friends to experience those things as they are very picky but it’s a nice little resort.

Brooks and Shorey is an excellent management company, a special thanks to Elizabeth, Jessica and Crystal who kept us informed of anything we needed to know, they were so professional. Check in time was prompt, to the minute, as promised. When we arrived, the unit was immaculately cleaned, we were pleasantly surprised! The condo was supplied with clean towels, even brand new towels in the kitchen! The kitchen was more than adequately equipped. The view was spectacular! Amenities were great and complimentary beach chairs were a plus! The condo was so comfortable, we didn't want to leave! Our A/ C went out, but Brooks and Shorey addressed it the same day smoothly and without interruption to us. The restaurants in this area are abundant and one is better than the last.   The unit had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed our time on the balcony. The high table and chairs allowed the shorter ones with us to see over the balcony railing rather than through it. The staff at Brooks and Shorey were very responsive to an appliance issue we had. One elevator was out during our stay but that caused very little inconvenience as there was another working elevator (helpful when you're on the 7th floor).

  Overall, the complex was in great condition. It was unfortunate and would’ve been very helpful to have known prior to arrival that the main board walk to the beach was going to be under repair and not usable for our entire stay. After some maintenance workers waterlogged some of the elevator controls, there were elevator issues for most of our stay wear one or both or not working at different times. The staff was incredibly friendly and landscaping was on point. And as usual, anytime I needed to speak with Brooks and Shorey the staff was always incredibly friendly and helpful.

  My husband and I along with our 6 and 9 year old children stayed here for a long weekend getaway on the beach. The location was perfect! We had a direct view of the beach which was a wonderful way to start and end our day. The accommodations we perfect for our family of 4. We had an unexpected problem when one of the tube drains became clogged. One call to the after hours line and someone came first thing in the morning to fix the problem. The only suggestion that I would have is replacement of the throw pillows on the couch which were very dirty. However, the rest of the stay was great.

  We had a wonderful stay and would definately stay there again. The views and location were great. Beach chair service a plus. Condo was clean and as described. Complex was peaceful and clean. Recycling containers need to be provided. As for our unit, the kitchen appliances need upgraded and overall some fresh paint. Bathroom fixtures function fine but are dated. Master bath needs lighting in shower area. None of these things would keep us from renting this unit again.

  Same as last year. Enjoyed this condo so much we booked it again this year. Great layout with extra wide view of the ocean. We came between two tropical storms which thank God didn't impact Fort Walton Beach other then some rough red and double red flag storm wave days. Probably a new smart TV with all the apps like Netflix and amazon TV would be nice in the living room but not a deal breaker. I think this is the best time of the year to come. Everything still open and still get to do the awesome Speedblaster sunset dolphin cruise with one free person in Destin. Great Beach service as usual. Found the El Paso Mexican restaurant on Mary Esther blvd which turned out to be great when we wanted a break from seafood. Thanks for the fan in the master bedroom since it provided the nice quiet noise. And though some reviews said the mattress was too firm it was perfect for my wife and I with my not so great back. Definitely would stay here in this condo again.

  The condo and furnishings are beautiful. The condo is well maintained and very, very clean. The location is near Destin which gives you more options for shopping and eating. It was perfect. We enjoyed the view of the beach and the comfortable chairs on the balcony. The 2 free chairs and umbrella on the beach were great and the walk to the beach is short and easy. Our son enjoyed the free golf. The course is not far and is a very nice course. As you can tell, we loved our stay at the Islander #7004.

  This condo was absolutely perfect for my husband and our 1 year old son. We loved the great ocean view and spent every night out on the balcony listening to the ocean. The condo was a 30 second walk to the pool or beach and we really enjoyed the chair/umbrella service. The location was definitely more relaxed than further down the beach in busier Destin and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The condo itself was clean and had plenty of amenities and kitchen items. We never felt overcrowded and felt safe walking around at night. I would definitely stay here again!

  Very nice unit we stayed in. Great floor plan with the extra wide view. We stayed in similar place but in 5006 last year. Was initially concerned with the left wall obstructing the view but it was not as prominent as I thought it would be. Still great view of the beach. This unit is proof that you don't need granite counter tops to have a nice condo. Great decor thoughout. A great plus for me were the firm matresses which our a plus for my back. Just need a bluray player with netflix and other apps for those rainy days. Would stay here again. My wife concurs with this review, haha. She loved the tile.

  We really enjoyed vacationing at the Islander 7004. The pictures are accurate and the condo is clean and well taken care of. When we had a few minor issues such as the cable going out or a light that was not working, maintenance was there immediately to fix the problem. The pool and beach are amazing!!! I would highly recommend this rental to families and friends. We loved going on a snorkeling,dolphin cruise through Destin Snorkel, Andy was a great captain. We also loved the BBQ place called Moe's. Amazing food and good prices. The only drawback to this location is that nothing is within walking or biking distance but not a huge deal. Destin is a short trip by car but was made difficult with heavy traffic on spring break. The condo was stocked with everything you would need and provided us with a FANTASTIC vacation!

  We loved our 5 night stay at The Islander 7004!! It was exactly like the pictures, and actually exceeded our expectations! So comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed. The location was great, the beach was amazing, and the view-- Gorgeous!! We even saw dolphins from the balcony. Okaloosa Island is very laid back, but still close enough to enjoy all the activities in Destin. Some of our favorites: Southern Star Dolphin Cruise, Fudpucker's, Big Kahuna's water park, Gulfarium, The Back Porch, and The Track! We had a great time, and if we come back to Destin in the future, we will be staying at The Islander 7004!

  The suite was very clean, well-equipped, and had a great view of the ocean. We spent a fair amount of time on the balcony. From our vantage point on the 7th floor, we were able to see dolphins swimming by. The wi-fi signal was strong. The TV was modern. The beds were very comfortable. It had a very homelike feel. It was a place we looked forward to coming back to after going out.
  Not only was unit wonderful, the building, grounds and pool were well maintained.
  It's a place we would definitely like to go back to.

  We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and had a GREAT view with comfortable patio furniture. Two issues: the drainage in the master bath was very slow and clogged. Not fun standing in water during a shower. The master bed mattress is very hard. And we like firm mattresses and have them at home. This was too hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, but we adjusted. Told the rental management company about both concerns and said they would look into them. Would rent this place again if both issues were resolved. We really liked the building, location and rental company.

  We just got done staying at the Islander 7004 and we had a great time! Check in was very easy. We got there early so we just enjoyed the beach and venturing around, then they called us and and got us in our room early, bonus!!! The property premises were nice and well taken care of. Pool was always clean and large enough to never feel crowded. The condo was exactly as described and perfect for us and our 4 small children. The view was awesome, easy to get up and down the elevator to the beach/pool. Loved having all the amenities of home especially the washer/dryer. Bed was comfy, lots of extra towels, supply closet had beach toys, skim boards, and a boogie board to enjoy on the beach. The location was perfect because it was just a short 5-10 min drive into Destin for excursions/favorite restaurants but the area of the condo/beach was less crowded. Highly recommend! We will be back!

  Great way to spend time with grandson and wife. Although they live on Ft Eglin Base, they felt like they were away on vacation when they stayed at the condo. The condo was on the 7th floor and the view was spectacular allowing us to see a variety of sea life, boat activity, military activity in the air and abundant beach activity. The condo was very comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated. We did most of our meals at the condo as well as visiting a few restaurants. Our favorite meal was seafood at Stewbys and we purchased fresh caught gulf shrimp from Gulf Coast Seafood several times to prepare at the condo. Brooks and Shorey staff was pleasant and immediately responded and took care of a few mechanical problems we had during our two week stay.

  Our stay at the Islander was amazing. This was the first time we stayed in a condo and after this experience won't stay anywhere else. The bedrooms were small but the rest of the unit was very spacious. The view was amazing and had plenty of seating for meals or relaxing. The unit was clean and overall well maintained. The 2 things that caused a very minor inconvenience were the washer not running unless a chair was propped against the door to keep it shut all the way and the shower head in the bathroom spraying water outside the shower. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

  We enjoyed our stay at this condo. There were four of us on this trip and the minute we walked in, we were impressed. The condo is nice and was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances. Also, the strength of the wifi signal was great. Two teenaged girls and a "techie" husband were happy about that. My husband fished the pier (5 minute drive) while we girls hung out on the beach. The ammenities package was nice also. We went on a dolphin cruise on the SEA BLASTER and had a great time. Free movie rentals were a hit. Fudpuckers was our favorite place to eat, It was well worth the money. Our only dissapointment was that there is not a view to the East from the balcony because of the buiding wall being in the way. We couldn't tell from the pictures that the wall sticks out on the East side. All in all,we loved Okaloosa Island! This was our first trip to the area and we were impressed.

  Our stay was fantastic! The pool size and location is the best of the surrounding properties. And the view was also excellent due to the proximity to the Ocean. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. I love the layout of the condo. My only complaint about the room would be the sofa sleeper is in rough shape and probably should be replaced. Everything else was up to par. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utensils. Overall our stay was wonderful.

  Its high enough that you are not bothered by pool noise. Location is close to so many restaurants and fun. Only thing not mentioned is you are only allowed 2 chairs from resort on beach so if there is 4 of you, you need to pay 20 $....not a deal killer just wanted to give feedback.

  Great value and location. Took my family of 6 grown children and this unit fit us perfectly. Nice views of beach overlooking the pool. The only 2 complaints are the elevators are scary, thought we were going to get stuck in one the doors slammed shut unevenly and it would not move so we decided to only ride the other elevator but its moves very slow. The other complaint is the carpets were pretty dirty, where you walk through from living to porch that is why I only gave it 4 stars on general condition, its not a deal breaker and we would gladly stay here again. At check it they were very pleasant, recommending places to eat and full of information about the area. Overall we are happy with the great value and place and will come back again.

  the staff was great but it was 0540 when we got in our one out of two condo there was bar soap and a dirty brush in the main bathroom and the carpet in the condos look like they needed shampoo, where was the hot tub? there was not one and the elevator was very bad my son and i and my sister in law did the stairs most of the time, the fire alarm went off because of the elevator lol the movie rental did not work. and the doors did not lock the glass ones they were crazy to close lol but the view and pool was great,, i just did not like having to drive 3 times to get the keys.

  Nice weekend trip to the Gulf. Only stayed 2 nights and did not have interest in "free" amenities, other than the beach chairs and umbrella. We would have preferred to have a more discounted rate than pay for them in the rental package.
