This was our second time to stay in this unit. We love the location, unit is very spacious and has everything we need. They provide all of the information you need prior to arriving and for departure using their app. This time we had a problem with the A/C unit- I notified them on Saturday and it was resolved on Tuesday- luckily the weather was cooler so we didn’t really need it. Everything was clean but I would say maybe the living area furniture could use a deep cleaning. We love all of the options for seating outside! We can easily watch the sun rise and set from there. Hope to return in the future.

The booking, location, facility and communication were all very easy. The app they provide has all the information you will need. My communication with the office before and during our stay was responded to quickly and professionally. The condo was clean and spacious, as pictured on the site. The unit was very clean and very large made for a wonderful stay. The unit is located on the beach and has easy access. The only issue is the toilets may need replacing as we had trouble with them flushing but everything else was spot on. Wonderful beach and great stay could not ask for anything else.

We loved the condo! When we first walked in we were greeted by a fulous welcoming smell. It was clean and very homey. The views from the huge deck were so beautiful to wake up to. The location is great, as it is close to multiple dining options and a short drive to Destin. We especially loved having the pool to relax in. The only thing that was a minor inconvenience was that the dryer took a couple rounds to get the clothes dry, but really wasn’t a big deal. Overall a fabulous place for our kids to experience the beach for the first time.

Condo was really nice. Loved the big balcony to sit and enjoy my early morning coffee and late evening. Rental company was great. The only negative was the sleeper sofa. It was horrible! I don't see how any one could sleep on it. We had to take pillows and put under the cushions and I just slept on the couch. It really needs to be replaced if you are going to advertise it as a sleeping option to guest.

The location was great, the beach was pristine and the service was just very friendly and helpful. The condo was spacious and comfortable. The only thing I would change is the sofa. It was worn and uncomfortable if sitting longer than 15 minutes.
The restaurants in the area were very good and loved visiting the “Gulf”. Visited several in Destin that were outstanding.

This was a beautiful oondo with lots of space for the six of us.(adult couples and teenage boys) The view and the location were fantastic. Because of the size of the property and the surrounding properties our beach had a very manageable crowd. Beach chairs were set up in one row vs bodies everywhere. The condo itself was very updated and well furnished. However, unlike many condos I have stayed at in the past, you must bring EVERYTHING. From coffee filters to toilet paper to laundry detergent to beach toys. This particular condo had dishes and silverware and that was about it. Also, the pool is STREET SIDE not beach side. This was pretty disappointing to us because we love the ocean but don't necessarily like swimming in the June grass, algae and getting targeted by the tiny jelly fish. Also, there are NO amenities at this property except the pool and beach chairs.

  Yes, Surf Dweller, like advertised on our website, does have a smaller pool and it's on the parking lot side of the property, we hope you saw this when you were browsing and finding the right condo for your vacation. Unfortunately we cannot change the setup of the property, but we do have it advertised exactly how it is this very moment and we hope all future guests see in the photos on our website. ON the positive side of this, there is literally nothing in between you in your condo and the Gulf of Mexico so you don't have to worry about noisy kids in the pool ruining your morning coffee on your private balcony. Beach chair setup is complimentary and provided to you by us at Brooks and Shorey Resorts, as all our condos get this amenity also. There are plenty of properties that we rent that have great amenities including gym, gulf side pool, hot tub, please just call us next time you are looking to book so we can give you details on everything available to you. This is an amazing condo and the updates are endless, we hope you enjoyed these. We do provide starters of necessities in our condos but no perishables, this is our policy and was in the confirmation email you received immediately upon booking with us. We hope you come back for a repeat visit to the beautiful Emerald Coast!!

  Surf Dweller 208 certainly provides all one could need on vacation plus it's upgrades keep it classy and exciting! These are very spacious condos that do give lots of comfort to every guest in your party. Extra blankets are provided in one of the closets in the unit, along with pillows which would be suitable for the sleeper sofa. We would have had the pleasure of making sure to get you a blanket while you were here if you had called and let us know..please note that we are in our office every day of the week 830-5 with maintenance and housekeeping on standby. These are the types of issues we take pride in addressing and correcting as they arise for each guest while they are here..please call us next time you are here if there aren't any blankets in your condo we'll have one brought to you ASAP! You won't be cramped when staying here. The massive private balconies are a special treat and a rare commodity-they hardly get that roomy anymore! My family and I LOVED Surf Dweller 208!! As soon as you walk in the door, the first thing you see is a beautiful view of the ocean. The whole back wall of the unit is floor to ceiling glass doors and the view is spectacular!! The unit was beautiful, clean, updated, welcoming and inviting. The decor was beach themed, but it was not over the top. We felt at home the minute we walked in the door. We had 6 adults there and we had plenty of room and did not feel cramped at all. The building was clean and attractive. We did not hear any noise during our whole stay unless we were on the balcony. And even then, no one was loud. You could just hear people talking. But none of us even paid attention with the view of the ocean and the sound of the waves. This was the best vacation I have ever had, hands down. I am so envious of the owners of this condo!! I truly did not want to leave. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. I loved it, words just can not describe how wonderful it was.

air was not working. It froze up and was warm in the room. The stove top would not come on and we had to eat all meals out. The workers wanted to know if we would mind them putting new windows in while we were there. I understand the windows next door but not in a rented room. i do know we could have called for repairs but it being Thanksgiving holidays we decided to just notify you of the problems. I hope you have these repairs done for the next guest. All in all it was a much needed vacation for my wife and I and we thank you for assisting us with the stay.

SD 208 is a wonderful unit. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, lots of sitting room, great bathrooms, stocked kitchen, and the unit and property are VERY clean. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. We spent every extra moment sitting in the comfortable chairs outside watching the dolphins play in the ocean. The Wi-Fi worked great with multiple tablets in use at the same time. Also, the bonus of having beach chairs available to you for free is awesome. If you wake up early the staff will let you claim your umbrella so you get a good spot for whenever your ready to have your beach time. Booking with Brooks and Shorey was a breeze. The staff was so nice from beginning to end and they made checking in and out a breeze. There is no key to keep up with and you can do a mobile checkout. SO EASY! I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a comfortable vacation space with beautiful views of the ocean.

Ideal location, felt very safe, extremely quiet. Was very clean, had everything we could need. Brooks and Shorey was so great and easy to work with. Room 208 was as great as ever--very clean and well equipped for our 2 week stay. We were very dissatisfied with the maintenance of the Surf Dweller. We have been coming here for nearly 20 years, this year a major change in the upkeep of the building was noticeably evident--the building was not clean( one example was a piece of pizza left on the bottom floor as you exit the staircase which was there for the entire time we were there; another example was the trash being left outside the trash chute when it was full leaving residue on the floor). Also carts were left on floors other than the first floor. The biggest nuisance was the elevators--only one worked in the middle of the main building and another at the end; both of these were extremely slow and also not in the best working order--several times we spoke to people at the front office housed by Southern Realtors with no success. Brooks and Shorey is always great to work with, but whoever is taking care of the upkeep and maintenance of the building itself is doing a poor job.

We were 4 adults staying and had lots of room. The furniture was all comfortable for TV watching. Usually units have just one comfy chair. Plenty of seating on the balcony too. We also enjoyed being on the second floor. Easy stair use and almost like being on the beach without the sand.

Our recent stay in Surf Dweller 208 was wonderful!! Very Nice everything we needed was there. The only thing was they were redoing the balcony floors so we could not go outside. We were notified two weeks prior and given a choice of a discount or to cancel. Well obviously we couldn't cancel so close to our vacation time because that was the time we had off from work which had been scheduled two months prior. It was my mother in laws first time ever to see or be on the beach. It would have been nice to use the balcony. We of course took the discount. We watched the men work and also watched Dolphins out the windows during our stay. Very very nice stay will defiantly stay here again I just hope they don't decide to redo balcony a next time. Very poor timing.

We loved the place, the view, the large balcony, the spacious clean rooms and the balcony furniture. Yes, the balcony furniture, specifically the high chairs that allowed us to look unobstructed at the great view and not look through the railing. This may be a small thing to some, but it was a big deal to me because we started our day before daylight sitting on the balcony enjoying a nice hot coffee and watching the day come to life.
It was a very short walk from the condo (Surf Dweller 208) to the beach where our beach chairs and umbrella were waiting for us. There were rest rooms just inside the breeze way just seconds from the beach also. It was also nice to be able to park my truck with my Sea Kayak on top under the Tennis Court in the shade as there was just enough clearance for both.
Check in at Brooks and Shorey was quick and easy. The gift package was a nice addition as all the contents were handy at the beach.
Great location, great place, we recommend it.

Had stayed at Surf Dweller several other times. However, none of the other visits were in the summer so was surprised by the 105 plus heat index several days the second week of our stay. Having the free beach umbrella and chairs was great! Also,the gulf was not clear like other times, so used the pool which was well maintained.

The unit was roomy like all Surf Dweller units. Overall, it was very clean. However, the dining area carpet was stained, most of the pots and pans had burned on food on them, and the exterior of the microwave was greasy. When this was reported, staff came and replaced the pots and pans and cleaned the microwave. There were also several maintenance issues that were not readily apparent that we reported. They were promptly resolved. The Brooks and Shorey staff was friendly and the maintainence staff knowledgeable.

The only issue not promptly resolved was the units WiFi. It was several days before we had a good connection. The Surf Dweller Association was responsible for this problem. Since one of us had a programming contract that had to be extended, we were not pleased.

We really appreciated the quietness of our unit. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Twice we shared the BBQ grills with nearby dwellers. All in all, we relaxed in safety and enjoyed our time to the fullest. As a matter of fact we booked for next year before heading home.

We have been coming to the Surf Dweller for over 20yrs. And in those 20yrs we have experienced at most 2 unsatisfying occasions with the agency. The over all satisfaction over rules the issues. We have tried 2 other locations in the past one one just this past weekend... and by far they are no comparisons to the Surf Dweller. Thank you Brooks & Shorey for making it a pleasure to deal w/ you this past week. The only down side was that when we booked the unit initially I was told we could book a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. And noticed when I tried to book one more night that units had been booked for 3-4 nights. And wasn't informed of unit 211 being available for this past Saturday night. So we stayed at another complex and had an unpleasant experience.

Rental is awesome. Clean and well stocked with a wonderful balcony overlooking the beach. Santa Rosa Blvd. sidewalks are inadequate for walking on most days with no room for bicycling except for in traffic. As a snowbird this is a huge shortcoming.

Everything was perfect about SD208 condo. It was very clean when we arrived. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Loved being able to see the beach from the den, kitchen and laying in the master bedroom! Quick, easy access to beach. Nice patio furniture, high chairs to see over rail and table with 4 chairs! Big comfy couch, very nice when we watched movies at night. Air conditioner worked very good so we slept good. Kids loved the swimming pool too and it was SO nice to be able to look out the laundry room window and be able to see them in the pool!! Perfect view to beach and pool! We will definitely return to 208. We're happy to have found the perfect condo! Owner has done a great job making it comfortable and clean.

The balcony, which can be accessed from the living room and the master bedroom, is quite large for a 2BR unit - about 30 feet long. It also has seating out here for up to 8 guests!
