An elegant retreat awaits you from the moment you step inside! The condo features flat screen TVs in the living room and master bedroom AND the bunks. Beautiful 1BR/2BA beachfront unit on the top floor.
The ONLY one bedroom on the top floor, unit 602 is truly ONE-OF-A-KIND. The views it affords are absolutely breathtaking and the Gulf of Mexico couldn't be any closer or more conveniently located to you. Being down toward the end of Okaloosa Island, Pelican Isle is QUIET and peaceful. Yet the amenities on property are just what everyone needs on a beach vacation. The pool area is on the South/Gulf side of the building so you are right at the beach access boardwalk when enjoying the pool and hot tub. Another plus to this is you can see the pool/hot tub area from your balcony...just keep in mind this TOP FLOOR unit is 6 stories up! This helps eliminate noises coming from the pool making their way to you while you're enjoying the gorgeous sunset from your own private balcony. You'll find true rest and relaxation greet you when you stay in PI 602. A functional and convenient fitness area rests on property near the pool area. The beach umbrella setup is very convenient and the covered parking spot is a plus and one of the easiest to park in on the property. Pelican Isle 602 was great. My cell was acting up so I called and Elizabeth was so helpful. She assured me check in would be easy and it was. I got a call telling us the unit was ready shortly after. Unit was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Stocked better than I expected. Plenty of towels, dishware, etc. Water pressure was great. Lots of TV channels although we spent most time at the beach or on the balcony. Restaurants and shopping are close, short drive so we loved the location; highly recommend.

We have been staying at Pelican Isle for 11 years now. We have used Brooks and Shorey for most of those stays and they are the best and are especially wonderful people to work with. We stayed in 602. We usually stay in 601,603, 501, 502. 602 was our least favorite. It was dirtier than the other units we’ve stayed in in the past. Baseboards were in desperate need of wiping. The mattress is broken down and needs replaced. The biggest issue we had (for the 2nd year) was smoking in the balcony. Our neighbors smoked the entire time. We couldn’t even enjoy our own balcony. Not only did we endure cig smoke, it was also Marijuana smoke. It has never been allowed to smoke on balconies. I know their room HAD to smell like it. This issue has to be fixed. If we had had little kids or someone with a lung issue, it could have been more of a problem. We love B&S and Pelican Isle but this was frustrating. We also would probably not stay in 602 again unless those small things were fixed.

We enjoyed the place and the particular property. It's a good location. We loved having covered parking and umbrella and chair rental. The condo was comfortable and well stocked. Only two concerns: the master bedroom had dust hanging on the wall behind the bed and the nightstand. And the bathroom sink drips in the master bath. Just FYI the Alexa didn't work either. Not sure what it was supposed to control.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Pelican isle is a nice smaller rental property and we like that. We also like the hot tub!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Pelican Isle and we will be back. We like that it's located near the end of the strip and that it is not overly large. There were some plumbing issues in the complex but they did not affect us directly. Unit 602 was very nice and clean. My only recommendations for the property are for the pool restrooms, lower level of stair wells and elevators need to be cleaned more often. The pool restrooms and lower level of the stair well nearest the beach entry stink terribly.

We came for spring break week. Like the 6th floor condo to get a good view of the beach and gulf. Really liked the heated pool and hot tub (used them both multiple times a day). Location was great that it was out of the way. But if you want to be right in the middle of all of the action, this might not be for you. We did travel down the road a couple miles to the boardwalk and hung out their for the day. The condo itself was good - king bed, and pullout queen sleeper were nice. Full kitchen was great for a full week’s stay, and we used in in-condo laundry a couple times. If we come back to the same area again, we would likely look tonstay somewhere closer to the action.

We have rented dozens of condos and villas throughout our travels, and we found our experience with Brooks and Shorey to be most professional and thorough in every detail! Condo was exactly as pictured and spotless. This condo is situated far enough away from the pool, so we had no noise factor. Beach chairs and reserved garage parking spot were great perks. Luggage carts were available from garage to elevators to make unpacking easy.
Condo had a nice supply of the basics to get you started. Killer view from the lanai! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for spring break with our 5 year old daughter and loved it! The condo was very clean and it was nice that they provided several rolls of TP, a fresh roll of paper towels, extra garbage bags, etc. I've stayed at other condos where none of those things were provided. There were also plenty of towels and washcloths. The overall complex/facilities were kept very clean and the staff was friendly. The beach service was nice, although I didn't think the chairs were very comfortable. Of course the beach/water were pristine, and we saw lots of dolphins and even a few stingrays. Only problem during the trip was that a pelican pooped on me while we were at the pool, lol!

We had an awesome time! We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and I was worried we would feel cramped with the bunk beds in the hallway. It was not a problem at all. The personal tv’s on the bunks were a huge bonus and we loved having the covered parking and beach chairs available each day. There were plentiful towels for bathing and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. My only complaint would be to fix the knob on the dryer. You can’t tell what setting it is on when drying clothes. I had several times while doing a load that it would stop after 5 minutes because it was a bit of a guessing game. I was also worried that being on the 6th floor would stink if the elevators were slow and they were always fast coming up and going down. An awesome condo with a beautiful view and no extra pool noise 😊

This was the first time my wife and I stayed at Pelican Isle room 602 and it won't be our last. This vacation was wonderful and here are some of the reasons why. First, Brooks and Shorey Resorts were great to work with. Their app answered all of our guestions and provided us with numbers to call if needed and lots of information to make our vacation even better. The condo was clean and well taken care of. The view from the 6th floor was beautiful. The covered reserved parking was a plus. The included beach service and the young men who ran it was a wonderful bonus. Our stay was very relaxing despite the hot and humid weather. It was very crowded on the beach due to fall break. The only problem with the room was the DVD player in the living area did not work properly. We finally replaced the HDMI cord and the problem was solved. Since we used our own cord and did not leave it someone needs to replace the HDMI cord. Also, the free movies were never available. the kiosk was out of order the whole time we were there.

We have stayed at Pelican Isle for the last 6 years in various units. Pelican Isle is in a great location near the western end of the populated portion of the island. My wife and I enjoy walking on the beach and like the location as it is less populated and we can walk west where there is no commercial development (government property behind the beach). As always, the room was clean, spacious, everything we need, and a nice view overlooking a great beach. We did have one issue with the room. This was the first time we stayed on the top floor. At night there was a lot of noises, making sleep difficult; some sounded like thermal expansion/contraction coming from the ceiling/roof and some was rude neighbors.

  Pelican Isle truly is a place for families, friends, couples-anyone who needs a break from reality to stay for a relaxing peaceful vacation. We are shocked to hear your comments on the noises as we haven't had complaints of this nature until now. Unfortunately there are those few guests who don't take into consideration the effect of their actions and voices, even during late hours. The benefit to staying on Okaloosa Island in a place like Pelican Isle is that you don't have half the number of guests/renters around you as you would say staying in Destin....on a positive note! 6 years to the same property sounds like Pelican Isle is your home away from home-awesome!! Condo is well equipped. It is sad that Management company has shut off October monthly rentals. If they had not, we would spend the next 5 or more Octobers. Not that it bothers us, the condo is now 13 years old cabinets, appliances, tops, and wall paint appear to be original. We will come back when a October monthly rental is back. The weekly rate quote is more like a condo with really nice appliances, cabinets, Granite tops, elaborate furniture, and professionally decorated. Most of our friends expect these when paying the rate that is now quoted.

We've stayed @ PI in the early Fall for several years & return because the whole property is well maintained; property mgmt is on site, very responsive & friendly; quiet location is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants. The beach is WONDERFUL & less crowded this time of year. An added bonus this year was the unbelievably beautiful weather & water. PI602 was clean & pictures were representative of the unit. Kitchen is well equipped. Love the high top table & chairs on the balcony. Nice view of the beach from the 6th floor, plus high up enough to avoid noise from the pool. The King mattress was the WORST. MATTRESS. EVER. 3 weeks later, my back still hurts from 7 nights on the thing, tho my hubby had no problem, & he's the one with the delicate back. Go figure.

This is the most gorgeous location, the white sand and emerald green waters are timeless. This top floor unit is awesome, you chose a great condo to spend your vacation. I'm sorry you didn't like the mattress, it is a new mattress and we haven't had any complaints of it, but it goes to show it's all about preference. Please come stay with us again on Okaloosa Island!

Nice condo, we had to wait some extra time to check in, way past 4:00 pm, but we just ran to the store and picked up food items while waiting, so it wasn't too bad. We had no issues with the condo, other than the dryer kind of messing up, and the toilet running. Maintenance fixed everything within 2 days after we reported it.

We love the Fort Walton Beach area!!! The condo is exactly as pictured, it was the perfect size. We liked having the separate living room area with couch. The balcony had a great table and chairs. Overall our stay was great, the bedroom area could have been slightly cleaner, found objects/dirt in the carpet left from the last guest.

We found our stay to be most enjoyable. Only one small issue with the sliding glass door to balcony as it was very hard to open and close. Upon letting Barbara at the front office know, it was resolved the following day by their Maintenance staff. Great location over looking the gulf beach and very quiet. The perfect getaway. We had a great family vacation over the fourth of July holiday. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The kids loved the bunk beds! The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. I do think a rug in front of the couch would cozy it up a bit. Also, it would be nice to have a few staples in the condo such as trash bags, salt/pepper, and coffee filters. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Overall, we loved our stay and would stay there again. We would recommend the condo to family and friends.

The view is beautiful and the condo unit is clean and inviting. Most of what we needed in the kitchen was provided. A baking/cookie sheet was missing and that would have been nice.

My only concerns had to do with the Master Bedroom. Since it's right next to the outside hallway, the exit stairs and the unit next door (PI 601, I believe), it was rather noisy. PI 601 must be a larger unit because I saw numerous people coming and going. The walls are thin and if you're staying in the summer, this is something you just have to live with. I've also stayed on Okaloosa Island in the winter months and it is, of course, a lot more peaceful at that time.

One thing that could be changed is to put some curtains over the the window in the Master Bedroom. There are blinds, but they don't shut out the hallway light at night - plus you can see the exit sign outside when you're sleeping. Some curtains that you could close to cover the window would have made the stay more pleasant.

Have found "heaven on earth" at 602 Pelican Isle. Watched the sunrise prior to A.M. walks on the beach. Enjoyed fresh perked coffee while watching the dolphins frolic from the balcony. After breakfast, relaxed under the umbrella and beach chairs that were furnished with the condo unit. A real pleasure trip! The only small area for improvement would be to fix the screen door onto the balcony so that you could sleep on the LR sofa listening to waves hit the shoreline.

This was a first time visit to Okaloosa Island. My husband (of 34 years) and I were coming to the beach for rest and relaxation - not fun and excitement. We came to Okaloosa Island at the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. The accomodations were just what we needed. Not a huge complex to navigate in and out of - but a small place with convenient parking and ease of getting onto the beach. Although the weather was less than perfect, we did have several hours of sunshine each day and in between the sun and showers we managed to get that much needed nap. Driving into Destin to have a bigger selection of eating options was not a problem either. We enjoyed out stay so much and cannot wait to return to the island soon. Thanks to Brooks and Shorey for providing a wonderful condo that was exactly what the website said it would be. It was nice not to be surprised in a bad way!

The condo was beautiful. Loved being on the top floor because the view was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. Our check-in process and stay was flawless, and I really apreciated the gift bag! Such a nice touch. It was raining a bit when we had to unload the car from the store, but there is a parking garage underneath the condo which was so convenient! I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Except for the teenagers with the church group hanging out until midnight the whole condo complex was awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Condo was clean but a little bit heavy on the pine-sol smell. All in all worth it!

Overall, our experience was ok. We did have a few concerns. The elevators were not working much of the time. The other issue was the "amenities" - the movie rental machine was not working much of the time. Also, we believed, based on the language on the website that a family of four, staying 6 nights (paid in advance) would be eligible to enjoy the dolphin cruise as a family for free. However, the tickets are "non-cumulative". My suggestion would be to dump the "amenities" and reduce the cost of the rental.
