The master bedroom features a king-size bed, providing the ultimate retreat after a day of beach fun. The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

All units at Pelican Isle
have a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico and miles of beaches, with white sands extending past the Okaloosa Pier.   The property and condo just as described. The staff on site are extremely friendly and professional. The check in/out process is so easy. There was a power outage which caused issue with the WiFi and the oven. The maintenance employees responded right away to resolve the problems. The view is stunning. The property is safe and family oriented. My only suggestion is to get a better mattress for the king bed, it was so hard.

We also appreciate that we have access to beach chairs and umbrella every day. The service on the beach is great. We would like to suggest that the door latch be placed on the patio door and replace the living room carpet with flooring. Other than that - it is spectacular!!!

  This was our first time in unit 502 but have been staying at Pelican Isle since it was built. This unit was very nice well appointed and we were very pleased with it. We had some issues with the property but not the individual unit.The biggest disappointment was that this unit comes with a covered parking space and the entire covered garage was closed due to broken pipes and nothing was done all week long to begin repairs and so we were without our covered parking spot. Also most of the week one of the elevators was down. Finally got it fixed 2 days before we left. We have no issues with the unit or Brooks and Shorey but the maintenance of the building itself seems not to be what it should be.

The bunks are more suited for younger children, but my 13 and 15 year olds were able to get comfortable. FYI...there is no blender, so bring one of you want margaritas!   This condo was very spacious for a one bedroom, extremely clean, comfortable, well stocked, and had spectacular views. It was just the two of us, but with bunkbeds in the hallway area, there was room for our two grandchildren, a very nice feature. Check-in and check-out is very simplistic, parking is close and the elevators were never too busy, even on a holiday weekend, again, it was a perfect getaway.

We did not have any maintenance issues other than the bathroom tub didn’t drain well. Not a big deal at all! Next time I will bring extra pillows. That’s just a personal preference. The beds were all very comfortable. I would most certainly stay here again!

  The condo was very clean, beautiful and we loved having the chairs and umbrella set us for us each day. Pool area was very nice. The neighbors in 503 on the other hand were teenagers with no adult supervision in the unit, very loud day and night, someone called police because of fighting in the hallway and vomit outside our door because of underage drinking. We called but were told that this unit wasn't one of yours so there wasn't anything you could do about it but have us move to another unit if one was available.

  Our only con is that we could not check in earlier than we would have liked, we flew in on red eye flight & were exhausted.Had a wonderful early lunch at AJ's down the street with great friendly service. Overall just a fabulous relaxing trip. fir Recommend Publix grocery store for groceries just over the bridge. You will need a car. Our first visit to the panhandle area would definitely choose this unit again. Thank you!

  We had a great time on our vacation! The unit was very clean. The pictures were an accurate representation of the condo. The views were amazing! Easy access to the beach and pool. The only complaint I would have is that the walls were quite thin. The bedroom is located next to the outside wall and you could hear every noise outside and from the neighboring unit. I downloaded a white noise app that helped with that. I would definitely recommend this unit.

  We had perfect weather. The condo was nice but showing age and some hard use. Needs a coat of paint on everything from walls right down to the paint on the bunk bed ladder. Some of the trim needs replacing. The master bath didn't seem to get the same cleaning attention that the main bath did, i.e. the ceiling fan. Full of lint where the main bath is not. The only other cleaning issue I noticed was the patio door track being very dirty. Otherwise the furniture was the most comfortable of any of the pelican isle condos we have stayed in. The bed was a toss up, I thought it was ok but my wife really liked it. Neighbors in 501 were incredibly noisy. Lots of door slamming and yelling at all hours as friends came and went. Smoking on the deck so you had to stay inside when they were outside. That's ok, we didn't come for the deck, we came for the beach.

Late night beach walks were fun filled and the early morning exercise runs felt so good. The Okaloosa pier was breath taking & so close to visit!   We spent a long weekend at Pelican Isle #502, and loved it. The view was spectacular, great to watch the sun rise/set, and the dolphins swim by. The kitchen was handy to have, as the grocery store is a short drive away (3 minutes), and we were able to get drinks and sandwiches, etc. Very clean unit. Away from the main crowds, yet not isolated by any means, close to plenty of things. Bed was very comfortable, and having the 2nd bathroom was very handy for us.

  to start- the reservation reps were amazing, pleasant & helpful....We had a wonderful experience staying at this condo. Exactly as pictured! Very clean! Lots of Towels!!! King Bed comfy, Beautiful Dishes, Cabinets stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc... Pleasantly surprised! Loved the many places to hang swimsuits & towels- hooks a plenty! The view is amazing! The condo is quiet, no problem with hearing others, even on the balcony... every one we spoke w/ , staying in this condo, was so friendly, we never encountered anyone unpleasant. The room is directly across from Trash Chute- very helpful.. the room is by the stairs to go down to the parking lot or beach walk- very convenient, to skip walking the hall & taking the elevator. The walk area and wash off station is very clean.. the beaches are very clean..the "chair boys" were super polite and pleasant- they were amazing! They set up the chairs/umbrellas every morning @ 7:30am & took them down every evening around 5:30-6pm...people do wait to reserve a chair every morning, so I went down around 7:30-8am and I got my chairs every morning, by putting towels on the chairs (everyone does it), then go back inside to get ready, wake up, and go out when ready- chairs will be waiting for you...the beaches are not crowded, lots of evening-very vacant, very nice! Our favorite places we ate-- The Crab Trap, Slick Mick's in FT Walton (excellent Pizza and Philly Cheese Steaks & super awesome staff!), and The Original Crab Shack on the marina in Ft Walton... Very pleased with this condo, the area, the beaches- truly lovely!!

  This was my family's second time at Pelican Isle and first time in room 502. The furnishings were very comfortable. Not all the condos have carpet but we preferred it since we have a 15 month old. The kitchen had everything we needed. This condo is one of the ones furthest from the elevator, close to the stairs. We were glad about that, no elevator noise. And we took the stairs several times to count as exercise while on vacation. Pelican Isle has an amazing view. Since the condo is further from town, the beach almost feels secluded. LOVE it. We will be back next year.

  This was our second stay at the Pelican Isle condominiums, and it will continue to be our first choice in the Ft. Walton-Destin area. The beach there is a little more private as it is near the east end of the line of condominiums and hotels on Okaloosa Island. The Brooks and Shorey personnel were positive, helpful, pleasant and a joy to deal with. The unit itself was very clean, and everything was functional. The bed and sofa were comfortable, and the decorations pleasant.

  Condo was clean and lovely. Plenty of towels. Front desk staff were extremely nice. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach and convenient parking. View was fantastic. Condo was quiet for sleeping even thought at least one neighbor had kids. Kitchen was convenient for quick breakfast before heading to beach.
  
  A couple of problems: TV in living room, remote doesn't work. Had problems watching a movie. Ceiling fan in master makes a weird noise and knob on master closet falling off.
  
  Too much June grass (seaweed) but that is out of control of Pelican Isle.

  My wife and I had the opportunity to stay for 6 weeks on the beautiful whilte sands of Ft. Walton Beach. We had a wonderful stay. The unit we were in would be perfect for a family with 2-3 children. The bunk beds and 2nd bathroom work well. The onsite manager resolved several issues in a very efficient manner. All rentals will occasionally have issues, the important thing is having them handled. Walking to the desk is much faster than trying to track down a VRBO absentee owner! This area is much less dense with development and people than Destin. This is the place to stay. Within 8 miles of all Destin restaurants and amusements.Wide beaches and clear water. The beach chairs and umbrella were great. Lifequards are active when needed.

  Our daughter's first time at the beach and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The lady at the front desk was so nice, the room was perfect for our small family and the view was breathtaking. We were only about 5 mins from Destin so we were able to enjoy all the highlights of it but then return to the condo and the quiet, not crowded beach. We are already planning another trip soon!

The unit we stayed in has a ton of little extras. The free movie box was great for my kids at night. You can't beat the view! I also loved the chair service. It was nice to see the same girl was working at the front desk from years before. We have had the most wonderful vacations at Pelican Isle. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

  This is our favorite spot in the Ft Walton Destin area. We found Pelican Isle by accident the first time, but 7 return visits is no accident. Becasue we often decide to come down on short notice, we stay in whichever unit may be available to match our plans. So we have seen 5 different untits at least, mostly 1 BR and 1 2BR. All were decorated nicely, all were well maintained and made us feel like home. The one time we had an issue, maintenance was there in less than an hour. We like that it is isolated form Hwy 98, and the military reservation just down the road makes this a "dead end" of sorts, so it is much more quiet and peaceful than many similar properties. Already looking forward to a return trip
