The moment you walk in, the expansive views will amaze you! The Gulf Dunes property is located on the beautiful Okaloosa Island, close to shopping and restaurants as well as the Gulfarium and the Boardwalk. The property features 2 beach front pools, tennis courts, BBQ grills, ample parking and elevators. The convenient layout of this 3 bedroom is sure to please everyone. Two full baths and a washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience.

Gulf Dunes Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin. Stroll along the beach to the Okaloosa fishing pier or Boardwalk. Stay with us and enjoy access to two beachside swimming pools (one heated November – March), private beach walkover, exercise room, tennis court, and a barbecue area.

  We had a great time in our rental. The only problem I absolutely hated was that all the outlet plugs are loose! We only had a couple that we could actually use where the plug wouldn't fall out!
  Other than that, it was a great condo for our family and provided plenty of room and space to spread out for the week! The kids loved the bunk room. My parents stayed in the front room and did wish the bed was a queen instead of a full, but they made it work. I always make sure to stay somewhere with a washer and drier for long trips. Beautiful ocean views as well. Another thing that was annoying was that even in a multi-room condo like this, we were only able to use 2 chairs for the beach service... we had 4 adults and 2 kids staying. Figured we could at least get 4 chairs, but were told no. Overall, definitely recommend and will book again if we come back!

  This rental was amazing! It was clean , beautiful views with convenient pool & beach access. We had no issues while we were there. We will stay here again for sure! All details offered were spot on. We had complementary beach chairs & umbrella daily for use so we didn’t have to drag ours around. There were plenty & we didn’t have to worry about having a spot. We could see fireworks at the pier from our balcony. A 8 min ride to Destin for tons of activities. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance as well as multiple gift shops , gas stations and a liquor store.

  Quick and fun long weekend getaway. Gulf Dunes Condo is in a great location directly on the beach with easy access and beach service! We liked the quick and easy access to both Fort Walton Boardwalk (walking distance along the beach) and Destin just a few minutes drive away! Weather while we were there was not great, but we enjoyed fishing on Okaloosa Pier even in the rain! We liked that Okaloosa Island is less crowded than Destin or Pensacola but still very close to all the great attractions. Our condo was bright and clean, although not as updated in decor or amenities/appliances as some of the other places we have stayed. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

  Have stayed several tmes at Gulf Dunes and this was twice for #615. Always a pleasure. The only thing I would change would be a total no smoking policy. My daughter has bad asthma and we had to stay off balcony and keep door closed due to someone's cigarette smoke drifting on to our balcony. Wish one building could have smoking on balconies and one could be totally smoke free. Loved the condo and the visit.

  Words could not do justice to how amazing our home-away-from-home was. This condo was perfect in every way, shape and form! We were so very pleased with the accommodations! We have 3 children, so them being able to have their own bed was great, and I love how it really felt like we at home. We loved the free DVD rental machine, especially after long days out. Opening the master bedroom balcony doors at night made sleeping an ultimate dream while listening to the beach and taking in the moonlight gulf. The management team and neighbors were all very exceptional! We do travel a lot, and I have to say, this has been one of the best places we had ever stayed in. It really surprised us because this condo was cheaper than others we were considering before booking, but it blew everything else out of the water when we arrived! The location, view, management and set-up were all spot-on! We definitely will look into returning again in the future!

  We were pleased with everything about the unit and complex. We found everything we needed during our stay. The view and location were very nice. The area was very quiet and we felt very safe. Anything we needed outside of the unit/complex was just within minutes driving in the car. Within walking distance of the unit were 3 gift shops, a Tom Thumb market and a Waffle House - just a little further walk (about 20 minutes) was the pier and 'Boardwalk' area.

  The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. I loved the fact that the condo wasn't cluttered with excess furniture. We had plenty of seating and did not have to navigate around unnecessary stuff. This also made the condo seem larger. The view of the Gulf was spectacular. We had our coffee on the deck and watched the sun hit the water in the mornings.
  Two things I would change/fix: (1) Trade the lousy toaster oven for a toaster! (2) Oil the sliding door in the LR so that it isn't so hard to open and close.
  I would definitely stay here again.

  This was a great condo, on the beach, very convenient, quiet, clean, view is amazing. The kids loved the movie rentals, I loved the air conditioning, kept the condo very cool! Kitchen was much bigger than I thought, ice machine came in handy! Full size washer and dryer was a big plus. The only negative I have is the "green slime" in the ocean on this part of the beach, from what we heard from the beach chair service guy, Christian, this happens every year. The kids didn't care, but it was kind of gross. You had to go out about 100ft to get away from the June Grass they called it. This would be the only reason we wouldn't come back. But we still might, everything else was perfect.

  Our vacation experience was over the top. The staff was beyond friendly. The Gulf Dunes 615 was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. My little girl loved the purple colored couch. The beds were very comfortable. Also, the photographs on the wall were amazing. I am a hobbiest photographer and I really enjoyed looking at them. The cabinet was stocked with Don's Seafood glasses. Absolutely my most favorite place to eat. We often take a drive to Hammond to indulgde in the fried shrimp and Jacked up Oysters. The Aligator in the hallway was a hit with my 2 year old son. He loved to growl at it. Everything was perfect. I have been coming to Ft Walton Beach for 15 years and have stayed at Gulf Dunes for the past 5. I loved this unit and hope it is available when we book our trip next June. Had a great time!

  This my families second time to stay at Gulf Dunes. The property is really nice & located right on the water. The property is very family friendly. It is also very easy to get to & has easy access to pretty much anywhere in the Destin/Ft Walton Beach area.
  The only minor complaints I have are as follows: There was really no comfortable place to sit. The couches looked to be old, not comfortable, & did not smell very good. Probably time to replace them. The grill area was nice but needed to have grill scrapers attached. All the grills were dirty.

  The Gulf Dunes 615 was more than expected. Took my younger son to visit my older son and his family. My two grandchildren stayed a couple of nights with us and we had great fun on the beach, playing games in the room and visiting some local attractions.   I expected the pictures on the web site to be be much nicer than the condo. Actually I thought the condos looked a little questionable on the web page...BUT we were pleasantly surprised - it was nicer and cleaner than a high end hotel. It was roomy and in a great location. I was impressed there were after hours check in instructions and the instructions for vacating were clear. I gave the management 3 stars because they certainly won't go out of their way to help you, which we're not used to.
  We would absolutely recommend this unit to anyone that had 4+ people in their group. Can't beat the view!

  Condo was in medium condition - sofa and loveseat are hard as a rock and no springs are left in them! TV in living room would not work we had to use the one in the bedroom - we had a lot of rainy weather otherwise the tv wouldn't have been a concern.   I spoke to the representative at the desk before we left about the leaking water faucet in the kitchen. I alsotold her that the tile floors and the carpoeting were rather dirty. This includes the throw rugs in the kitchen and baths. I am not a pickey person, but I do think that the floors and carpets need to be cleaned. The soles of my feet were black when I went in my bare feet.

  This was a great location. There were no crowds, and all the Destin attractions were a short drive away. The only complaint would be that the unit never got really cold even with all doors closed and curtains pulled to block the sunlight. Also the unit was a little dusty in some places., which was a little unnerving given the cleaning fee that was charged. Overall, this was a good location and would consider returning here.
