Pelican Isle 309 - The Beach Nook!

Amazing beachfront view from the living area of this 1BR/2BA condo. Enjoy the waves crashing on the shore each night on your private balcony. You are all set for a great vacation! Time away from home will certainly be full of wonderful memories..

All units at Pelican Isle
have a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico and miles of beaches, with white sands extending past the Okaloosa Pier. The resort includes a pool, spa, workout facilities, a barbeque grilling area, and boardwalk access to the beach. Free High-Speed Internet Access is now also available at Pelican Isle!
Pelican Isle is a 100% non-smoking property, except in designated areas.

The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

  We stayed at Pelican Isle #309. It was clean and very quiet. Loved the balcony to see the ocean and relax on the balcony. The mirrors on the wall made it feel much bigger than it actually was. The mattress could be replaced. Seemed to be too soft and broken on one side. Loved that there was no carpet and the floors were easy to clean.

  This is our fifth visit to the Emerald Isle at Okaloosa Island. We normally stay in the building next door, but it is undergoing balcony remodeling. So, we decided to take a chance and stay at Pelican Isle this visit. The unit overall (309) was okay. However, attention needs to be made to cleanliness. The tile flooring and laminate flooring need to be scrubbed and cleaned. After walking around barefoot the first evening, my feet were black. The balcony sliding door track has mold and dirt and really needs to be addressed. The kitchen was stocked okay. A Keurig would have been nice. There was enough toilet paper so that was appreciated. There were also miniature bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion and makeup remover pads. The unit is located just outside the elevator. It can become quite noisy at different times of the day and night. And people have a tendency to slam their doors. The staff at Pelican Isle are very friendly and helpful. And of course, the beach service was great as always. We love this location on the beach because of its beauty and watching the dolphins. We appreciate that there were units available to rent while Island Sands was being remodeled.

  This condo is great! We enjoyed the location— 5-15 minutes from most anything!! The property was well maintained and the beach chairs were convenient and the layout was nice in the condo. One thing that felt odd was that it was a VRBO, but run like a hotel; starch sheets, and minimal supplies and checkout at 10am. We were asked to bring beach towels, TP, PT, and even salt and pepper. We book these kinds of places for the “home like” experience and I would say it was about half way there... to the owner/manager, I would say hold the bottle of shampoo and give me an extra roll of TP and a few more basic cleaning supplies. We did really appreciate having a vacuum in the condo! Lovely property, just wish the amenities were a bit more accommodating. Thank you!!

  Even better than the pictures. Comfy King Bed. Room Temp was perfect. Free Beach Service was a great bonus. Loved the distance and ease of getting on and off the beach. Perfect view. Two elevators made things easier. Plenty of towels and space for 4 people. Plenty of parking. Washer and Dryer worked perfectly. Check in and out was extremely simple, all done by phone. The only suggestion would be some comfier furniture for the living area. Thank you for making our vacation great!

  This place is great! Exactly what the pictures depict. Its is truly beach front, the amenities are all there and working correctly. The hot water was great! Always important after a long day at the beach.
  What made this perfect was the chairs in the balcony were broken and I reported it via the app. They not only fixed it an a couple of days but the follow up by the rental company was exceptional. I highly recommend this unit to anyone travelling with kids.

  For the most part, I really enjoyed my stay at Pelican Isle RM 309. It was unfortunate that the fridge did not get cold because we had bought $150 worth of groceries upon landing in Fort Walton. I called Brooks & Shorey about the fridge on day 2 after 20 hours of "giving it a chance", but she said it would just need a few hours. It had a bowl inside for leaks, it looked apparent that the facility knew the fridge was in poor condition. Needless to say, if we wanted anything to stay cool, we had to put it in the freezer. Aside from the mustard, our groceries were ruined. The mattress feels very similar to one of a pull-out couch. On a brighter note, the location wasn't too far from everything and the view from the balcony was perfect. I like the updated floors.

This is right on the beach with a gorgeous ocean view. The beach chairs and umbrella were very convenient. I loved having a nice washing machine and dryer-- I did laundry every night due to the sand and humidity. Would definitely stay here again!

  My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time on our relaxation getaway! The condo was a perfect size for us, and the views were amazing. Every morning coffee on the balcony watching the Dolphins swim by was just how I wanted to spend my mornings! I would say if there were more than two of us I would feel a bit crowded. The bunk beds are not spacious and I think only up to 2 years old could fit into them. The condo was very clean and what you see in the pictures is what you get. The only bad thing about the management is that the people at the desk at pelican isle couldn't answer any of my questions and just referred me to brooks and shorey's office. All in all I cannot complain, we stayed in a wonderful condo right on a wonderful beach! What more would you need ?

  We have rented a lot of oceanfront condos and this has to be one of the nicest. It is tasteful, clean and there are hooks everywhere for your stuff. Hopefully you saw where we have each FLOORPLAN to each unit on our website, it's always one of the last pictures of the condo. That's the standard setup of the one bedroom condos. Unfortunately, the bedroom is next to the hallway BUT this means you get the balcony view from the entire condo rather than just one bedroom. Please take a look on our website again at the two bedrooms, I agree, having the master bedroom with the balcony is AWESOME. We have plenty of those at Pelican Isle for you.   Everything was great as usual while staying at Pelican Isle. Perfect getaway for a family of 5. The room was laid out just like the pictures show. I would only have 1 suggestion for owner and 1 comment for renters. For the owners - why is there a need for King size bed in bedroom when they take up nearly the entire room? Queen size bed in this size room would be more efficient and ease of walking around. For renters, unit does not have a pantry so if you bring a lot of food be prepared to empty some dishes from cabinets or put everything on top of the fridge. Other than that we are very pleased and would stay here again.

As for the comment about the king size bed - generally, if guests have a choice between booking a room with a king size or a queen size bed, they will choose King size bed most of the time. That's why the owners will have a king size bed in the condo to accommodate the needs of the guests. We hope to see you again very soon!

  Pelican Isle is the perfect fall get a way for a couple or a group of friends. We have stayed here twice and love the closeness to the beach; two bathrooms, pool and hot tub! Some girlfriends rented a separate condo for 4 days of our 10 day stay and want to join us again next year.
  
  Tips for the management company - not to publish - dryer lint trap was rusty and had a large hole in it; dishwasher rack was missing a roller; lightbulbs were out in the bathroom. I rented from another company and did not have to report any of these so you might add to your checklist since I was told this was a rental and not owner occupied. Thanks.

  My husband and I visted Okaloosa Island this past week for the first time. The beach was beautiful and had a wonderful breeze. The umbrella chairs were a great added touch. However, our room was very dirty. The living room table had old cherry stems on it, hair was found in the freezer, the phone did not work, the blender had mold in it! There was water in the dishes upon our arrival. The pots and pans were very poor quality as well. We were very disappointed.
