Pelican Isle 212 - Salty Air Bliss!

Relax in this inviting gulf-view condo featuring direct beach access, a boardwalk, BBQ area, reserved parking, and free internet. Step onto the breezy beachfront balcony to take in vivid gulf views while listening to the soothing rhythm of the surf. Inside, the open living area showcases oversized light tile flooring and a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa for additional guests. A coordinating accent chair and coastal décor create a warm Floridian ambiance, while a handsome media cabinet houses a large TV for relaxing evenings. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking for the whole family easy, with everything you need to prepare and enjoy delicious meals. The master bedroom suite offers tasteful furnishings, a king-size bed, and direct access to a full bathroom. A second bathroom with a walk-in shower is conveniently located off the hall, near the twin bunk beds tucked into a cozy hallway alcove. This well-appointed condo comfortably accommodates up to six guests, making it perfect for couples, families, or a fun beach getaway.

All units at Pelican Isle
have a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico and miles of beaches, with white sands extending past the Okaloosa Pier. The resort includes a pool, spa, workout facilities, a barbeque grilling area, and boardwalk access to the beach. Free High-Speed Internet Access is now also available at Pelican Isle!
Pelican Isle is a 100% non-smoking property, except in designated areas.

The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

  We loved our location. I liked how it was in a quiet area but if you wanted to travel a few minutes down the road you could visit the tourist attractions but they weren’t right in our face. The sand library was amazing where there are boogie boards and toys available for visitor use. The maintenance people were all very helpful.

  Overall the unit was nice and I have only minor comments/complaints: The toilet seats were loose, the blender was broken, the stove had two cooktop elements that did not work and the tv remotes were not completely functioning/partially broken.
  
  The patio sliding glass door was difficult to open/close, which was actually good in keeping our kids off the balcony. The bed in the master bedroom was not very comfortable.
  
  Other than that, we could tell it was pretty quickly cleaned prior to our stay. The entertainment center was moved away from the wall a bit and there were still piles of sand and dust in a few spots that did not get swept up.

  The amenities, the view, and the condo were awesome. You can't help but have a great experience here. The only reason that I didn't rate it a 5-star is because the internet didn't work, the dryer would not dry clothes and desk personal's hours were crazy, no one was ever there to give you help.

  Pros: Location. All appliances in 100% operational conditions(A/C, kitchen, TV's, dishwasher, laundry etc.). Indoor parking. Clean. Management quick to solve any problem. Two spacious bathrooms. You can't ask for a better view. Free access to beach seats and umbrella every day.
  
  Cons: Master bedroom mattress too soft. We had some issues with the Wi-Fi. Bunk beds good enough for 6 year olds or younger. The apartment is appropriate to hold a family of 5 or six (two adults and three small children). It felt crowded for a family of 5 with teenagers.
  
  The apartment is located in the Okaloosa Island (Fort Walton is close enough to Destin (8 miles) where many attractions, restaurants and shops are located, but far enough from the crowds and the non-stop traffic of route 98. We were not looking for a resort feeling and we find this location perfect for that purpose.
  
  Overall, we do recommend this property for a beach vacation for a family of 4 or 5 with small children.

The underground parking spot that comes with this unit is something the owner of the condo had to go out of his way to purchase for his guests, this is something only a few get to enjoy..thank you for pointing this out for future guests! It is so nice to have your car in the shade during this hot Florida Summer Heat! Pelican Isle truly affords the best vacation home. The feel of the condo is comfortable and you arent' in some huge resort where you may feel lost. It's just small enough to be private but big enough for you to stay anonymous if desired. The two bathrooms in these one bedroom condos is a huge plus, and it really does make it comfortable for a family for 5.   We've stayed at other properties and beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. This is by far my favorite. Very close to Destin, but without all the crowds. The room was as described; very clean and right on the beach! My son loved the 2 tvs that accompanied each bunk bed. We also enjoyed all the perks that came with our stay: free beach service, free movie rental on site, and discounts on activities. I would recommend this property to couples and small families.

  I would highly recommend this place. The staff was always there to answer questions and address concerns. Overall the place was nice. The only thing I would change with this unit is the mattress and pillows in the bedroom. My kids did not care for the bunk beds and ended up sleeping on the pull out bed. The kitchen was well equipped and the unit met most of our needs. Overall, we were happy and we will be back!

  Upon arrival we were very satisfied with our location on the beach and proximity to restaurants and shops. The reserved parking garage was convenient and the pool and grounds were very well maintained. These condos are right on the beach and the ocean and sand were breathtaking! Our unit was perfect for our small family of 4 and well decorated. I expect to find some stray sand, but it would have been nice if the unit was cleaned a little better after the previous guests. This was a spectacular condo and we will consider renting again the next time we visit ft. Walton Beach again!

  I can only think of positive things to say! The condo was clean and spacious and well decorated (I loved the beach cottage style). The kitchen was well supplied, and there were tons of linens. (OK, one negative. We slept in the living room to take advantage of the water view, and the sofa bed is not that comfortable.) The extra perks were great---free golf, free netflicks, and others during the season. Check-in was easy and everyone we dealt with was extremely nice. It is a great time of year to be on Okaloosa Island.

  The condo was very nicely furnished and clean. My kids loved the flat screen TVs at the end of each bunk. We had very cold, rainy weather in April so the free movies and two DVD players were great. The beach is beautiful and the chair service is so convenient particularly if you fly and cannot bring your own chairs and umbrellas. It was also nice to have the under cover parking spot for the rainy days. Most of the attractions and restaurants are in Destin but it's only a short drive and we went there every night. Don't miss the Gulfarium!

From the people handling the reservation process, the friendly young woman at the front desk whom provides the check in and out and all the questions we ask her during the week, and the cleaning and maintenance staff. Location was great, away from all the busy activities and traffic, but close to groceries and restaurants. A great place for families! The room was very nice and clean. It could use a larger ceiling fan in the bedroom, to help circulate the air better. The bed was comfortable.

  Property was nice & rooms were great! Views are fantastic! Only bad part was someone broke into my car on the 1st night, out in the open under a light-crazy... Thankfully they didn't get away with to much, but enough!So make sure you take all car chargers,
  head phones, sun glasses, and makeup bags out of your car.

  Very nice condo. We enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean, simple and tastefully furnished. The entry door with its magnetic pass key entry was difficult to operate and required us to get our keys reset repeatedly. I'd also suggest a slightly larger kitchen trash can and a place to keep it other than the middle of the kitchen floor. The kitchen should be supplied with dishwasher detergent; especially if you want the renter to run it when they leave. There should also be an ample supply of trash can liners for the kitchen trash can.

  The condo was nicely decorated and right on the beach. Bright, cheery and relaxing! Staff was helpful. Bring a fan if you want to use the bunkbeds. It is very stuffy in the little bunk cubby, and we had to go buy a fan. Everything was extremely clean except the tile floors were a little dirty. Otherwise, it was a great vacation property. I would highly recommend, and I hope to come back soon!!
