  We always look forward to coming each year to the pelican isle, this was our 17 year to come . The rooms are always clean and the property is great as well. The ones that work for the complex are always nice and helpful with anything ya may need or would like to know. This year was the first time we ever had trouble in a unit , on the last day the door key pad unit stopped working completely- we have one at home so we know these things happen call the brooks and Shoery property and the lady was really nice and helpful and sent someone out to check on it. Which was fine because our check was at ten. Thanks ps the kids loved the art work with the towels that was in the room when we arrived the monkey off the bunk beds was there favorite !!!

  Loved booking with Brooks and Shorey Resorts! They handled everything perfectly and the beach service was fantastic! The golf package was ideal for my husband and son! Also enjoyed the dolphin cruise and Gulfarium which we booked thru their service. A few minor maintenance issues (lights and air fresheners needed replaced)in the condo. Will be happy when the Fort Walton Beach bridge is replaced to help traffic but the condo stay was wonderful.

  The condo was very clean and the view was amazing!!!! Everything was perfect except two things. One is the mattress needs to be replaced In the master it is very worn out. Two is maintenance needs to recaulk the caulking in the bathrooms because there is mold in them. I will return and hopefully they fix these things. We had a great time!

  Overall, the stay was amazing! Great views and comfortable enough beds. The only annoying part was the coffee maker. Says to bring filters, but the ones I bought didn’t fit right. The machine also leaked from the bottom. I should of brought my own machine because I need my coffee.
  The location was pretty good. No restaurants close enough to walk to, but everything was a close enough drive away! I would definitely stay there again.

  there were a few things that were missing that we would have liked but not enough to say we won't be back. The master bedroom needs a dresser or place to put your suitcase. the bathrooms don't have much counter space. The view was great! Appliances were nice and new. Bonus of having chairs and an umbrella was nice. Wish they had a second place to rinse off sandy feet upon exiting the beach though. Never got in the pool or hot tub so have no clue how good those were. Decent amount of parking and centrally located to everything.

  My husband and I spent a week here re-connecting and enjoying the comfortable, clean accommodations with the fabulous view of the Okaloosa Island beach. Check in/check out could not have been easier. Furniture was comfy, there were enough basics in the kitchen, towels were fluffy, the TV provided multiple viewing options - but THAT VIEW! That's why we came! There is even beach service for two each day of the stay and the 'beach boy' was SO nice and helpful. The sauna was so relaxing and we were close to several amenities and dining experiences. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

  I rented this property the day of my first stay as my planned rental was damaged by the hurricane and the other property manager didn't notify me of that until arrival. Since I decided to not stay in the first property I had to be out by 10 AM and check in was not until 4PM. I called Brooks and Shorey to explain my situation and ask for an early check in, thinking that perhaps the property manager would ask the cleaning staff to prioritize my room. That absolutely did not happen. I actually had to call back @ 4PM because I never received the email I was told I would with the room code. I would not recommend Brooks & Shorey as this was poor customer service. I would not recommend Fort Walton Beach or Destin as it is much too crowded and busy.

I would recommend Brooks and Shorey for your next rental. I have been booking with them for several years with never an issue. The onlt thing with the condo was the balcony door was very hard to open and close but it was a minor distraction.

Yes, these balcony sliding doors are hard to keep up, being directly on the Gulf of Mexico affords lots of salty air wind and rain making rust inevitable and these balcony doors needing new parts more often than normal condos. We'll get some new wheels on this door if needed!! This is a lovely one bedroom condo and Pelican Isle is truly a wonderful property with great amenities. A pool, hot tub, gym and direct access to the Gulf, there's not much to be longed for in a vacation destination!   Overall good. The coffee maker did not work and the "ledge" on the sliding glass door is dangerous. Tripped over it every time we walked out on the patio and the door needs some attention as it is very hard to open. Also,usually the beach is "gratded" in the mornings but it was not cleaned the whole time we were there...not sure why they stopped doing this.

    We really wish you'd have let us know about the coffee maker while you were here so we could have had housekeeping bring you a new one immediately. Balcony entrances are protected by the balcony sliding door track and unfortunately there's no way to adjust this but we'll look into the slider wheels and the tracks as well and make sure it's functioning correctly. Okaloosa Island does have public beaches that are upkept by the city, unfortunately we don't have their schedule but they do clean the beaches pretty often. They come at night or super early in the morning though when noone would be on the beaches. We hope you were able to enjoy your vacation regardless of this and this didn't put too much of a damper on your fun in the sun!!

The added bunk bed TV's are an individual owner responsibility, totally optional and up to the owner, so it's great when these are provided, it's a super treat for the young ones..thank you for pointing these out! These one bedroom two bath condo setups are perfect for a family we're so glad you enjoyed. The one elevator at the Pelican Isle is down for a bit longer too because the part had to be ordered and it's a custom made part so it's all a waiting game now!   Pelican Isle room 412 was extremely clean with a wonderful view of the gulf. The kitchen light went out and maintenance was super quick to repair it. One of the two elevators stopped working and was never repaired while we were there which was annoying. They just put up an out of order sign and never addressed it. Other than that it was a great condo.

  We had a great vacation and ideal weather. The condo was comfy. Could use a new couch as it sits pretty low and somewhat hard to get out of, especially at our age. Love the beach and took advantage of beach chairs every day. Husband also took advantage of golf several days. We really enjoy coming every year to Pelican Isle.

Pelican Isle Condos are in a terrific location on Okaloosa Island all beach front with excellent views.   We love Pelican Isle and try to stay there whenever we vacation on Okaloosa Island. Location is great and the free beach service is a definite plus. Not disappointed this time.     After a super busy season, unfortunately items in these condos come up missing or broken or need to be replaced because damage. At this point in time we are doing INVENTORY on every single one of our condos to make sure everything is has it should be in every condo. We'll be sure to check this condo and make sure the kitchen is stocked with the correct inventory, thank you for that comment. Pelican Isle Condos are truly wonderful-all of them. All of our units here at Brooks and Shorey Resorts are fully furnished and include the dinnerware, cookware, and bedding/linens to accommodate the number of people the unit will sleep. However we will certainly have a housekeeping inspector double check to ensure the kitchen is properly stocked. We hope you had a nice time at the beach despite your disappointment with the lack of utensils and that you were able to enjoy your overall vacation experience.

  This was our first time to the area. Wonderful condos. Parents with kids should especially like this condo for its keyless entry(no key cards for kids to loose). This unit is located so that u can easily see anyone at the pool but distant enough that noise was never a problem. The elevator is in the middle of this building and unit is only a few doors down the hall. My kids loved the onsite movie rental and the tv's the bunks. Two family's we know staying in other units did not have bunk tv's. The unit was clean and I did like the tile throughout. The only thing I would liked is a larger master bath, but otherwise really felt like this was a great place and would visit again.

  We had a great time with wonderful weather. We love Fort Walton Beach. Condo was good and functional. This is our 3rd or 4th year staying here and only suggestion would be to upgrade sofa and chairs and mattresses. Furniture has had some good wear and mattresses seem pretty soft and well used. The radio still does not work and hall way walls need to be painted (they were pretty scratched up). But we were still very pleased and had a great week.

  View from the balcony was great and I liked the height of the chairs to increase visibility over the railing but my husband did have concerns about their sturdiness for those weighing more than 250 lbs. A lounge type chair out there would also be nice. I found the kitchen to be well stocked with all the basic meal prep needs in regards to cookware, dishes, utensils though we did forget to purchase salt and pepper so it would be nice if those had been on hand. Overall a fabulous place and the King size bed in the master was one of the most comfortable mattresses I have slept on in years, however the bunks would be a challenge to use for more than 2-3 nights for anyone other than small children. Dolphins visible most every morn from the balcony. Great stay!

  The condo was exactly as described. The only thing that we noticed was that the blue chair was torn and frayed around the edges. Nothing that affected the stay, but was kind of surprising. Everything else was great. Was pleasantly surprised on how little noise there was from other units. It was VERY quiet.

  This was our first trip to the Fort Walton area. Our condo was comfortable and spacious for the two of us. The gulf front view was beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony daily. It's a short drive to beautiful Destin, so we also had the pleasure of experiencing that area. The down side of the condo was that the furniture was worn and had a tear in the chair in the living room. The only other problem was the poor wifi service. It was hard to connect and would often go off. Then the process to reconnect had to begin again. Other than those two things, it was a great trip!

  This place was such a fun stay. I had never stayed in FWB so I knew nothing about the town or Pelican Isle. I was so impressed. Definitely all the little things! Carts to take your luggage up, keypads on the doors so you don't have to carry the key around, umbrella and chair service at the beach, free video rental onsite, well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, free dolphin tour, and on and on. The staff is so friendly but they aren't all in your business which I loved. Thank you so much for my stay. It was the relaxing week that I so needed.

  My wife and I had a great time at your condo. It was the perfect setting for relaxation that we both needed. Condo was nice and clean and well furnished. View of the gulf was wonderful and beach was awesome. Amenities were great. We just had 3 suggestions and these are minor-the armour in the bedroom seemed to be too big and made a tight fit in front of the bed making it hard to use the drawers. Could probably make better use of space by mounting TV on the wall. Exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working. The only other thing was that I could not get the radio/cd player to turn on. However, this did not take away from our vacation experience at all and we truely had a great time. Would definitely stay at Pelican Isle 412 again and hope to make it a yearly trip. Thanks again.

  I have been coming to FWB for several years for Thanksgiving and sometimes at Christmas and have always had good experience with Brooks & Shorey properties. Due to Construction at my original choice, Eva upgraded me to Pelican Isles (2nd time that happened).
  PI has a great on-site gym, and the pool and hot tub were heated and well utilized during Christmas week.
  The unit was well stocked with essentials and very comfortable.
  The on-site representative was also friendly and very helpful.

  I loved the two differ tvs in the bunkbeds because it rained. Ceiling fans were hanging sort of a little scary and the tables in the living area were cracked.   Quite happy with both the location and accomodations involving my stay. Tropical storm Lee overcast our entire time there except for the day we left. The room was quite nice, clean, and convenient to local spots both on the island and with regard to Destin. Only issues were 1) The exhaust fan did not work in the master bathroom, 2) a few marks on the walls of the hallway, 3) Hot tub (whirlpool?) was not well heated. Price was VERY reasonable, sheets/towels/entire condo was very clean. All other "problems" were storm related and should not reflect negatively in any way on property/owners/managers.
  
  We will probably stay there again vs. Destin as it seems to be a more "family oriented - less commercial" beach location and was quite enjoyable under the circumstances.
