  Few maintenance items - bar stools rickety (one collapsed under use) stove wobbly and some eyes not working - but these are just minor issues

  This is a nice spacious condo. My only complaint is the carpet. While it didn’t seem overly dirty, I do not like staying in other peoples homes with shaggy dark carpet. Especially at the beach. It just didn’t feel super clean. I would re-book this condo if they changed the flooring. The barstools at the countertop were super-wobbly and unstable. We did not use them.

  Condo was a great space and great location. There were some areas to improve the condo overall, but nothing to keep us from staying there...but have been in nicer condos for the price.
  Sliding Glass door - hard to open, no real handle, needs to be replaced or fixed. Master Bath, cabinet door looked like it was about to fall off, needs fixing. Washer and Dryer are old and rusted on top. Dryer vent/filter needs replaced. There was no dish soap. Refrigerator smelled like Fish...thinking it was walter filtration as the ice tasted like fish.
  Lots of dishware and cookware. Condo was clean when we arrived. Good amount of patio furniture for family to chill on and watch ocean. The 2 chairs and umbrella service was great. Condo had beach toys and boogie boards to use. We enjoyed our stay overall...just the improvements above would be nice.

  That is what our daughters said about our stay this summer. The condo was perfect-relaxing and comfortable. Although this is technically a two bedroom condo, having the extra room with bunk beds was the perfect cozy place for my daughter who wanted her own retreat. We ate in several meals, and this condo is well appointed. A pleasure to stay here. Also having the on-site management representative and the movie rental is very convenient. Finally one of the best benefits we enjoy of renting through Brooks and Shorey are the free beach umbrella and chairs usage each day!

Codo looks just like the pictures but the pictures don’t do it justice it was beautiful.   The condo is in a great location and has a beautiful view of the ocean. However, the complex has limited amenities. It has a tennis court, but you have to bring your own racket. It would be nice if they offered rackets, volleyballs, etc.

    We appreciate your feedback on the amenities at the Gulf Dunes, we are sorry this property did not impress to your satisfaction, but guests really do love the Gulf Dunes and come to stay in our condos on Okaloosa mostly for the top-notch grade A location...being RIGHT on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico is unbeatable. You can't find this amenity in condos like you can here in Fort Walton Beach. The VIEWS from the balcony are enough to enjoy for hours on end. But there are other properties on Okaloosa that have more activities...please call us and let us know this feedback from this stay and tell us what you're wanting for your future stay and hopefully we'll have the perfect spot for you!

  We have vacationed several times on Okaloosa Island, but this was our first time staying with Brooks & Shorey, and at Gulf Dunes. We were pleased with our unit. It was equipped with everything we needed. The property was clean and updated. We especially liked having management personnel on site. We had no problems, but it was nice knowing they were onsite if we did. I loved the check-in/check-out process. Much better than standing in line after a long day of travel. We will certainly look to staying there again.

  As described! Beachfront condo with heated pool connected to private walkway to the beach. Beautiful view. Convenient location. All the amenities of

  Plenty of dishes, towels & Tupperware, etc. Even though they said we would only have a “starter kit” of toilet paper & paper towels we had plenty to last us. Included dishwashing detergent & laundry detergent. The only thing I would recommend people bring (besides food stuff) would be a roll of paper towels & trash bags.
  
  Sheets were definitely lower quality, but that was a very minor
  thing.
  
  Only 4 Star was because of property management. Appreciated the pre-call for check-in, but agent rushed us off the phone, but maybe we weren’t supposed to ask questions.
  
  Would definitely stay again!
  
  A little confused at first when we arrived, but that may have been because we missed something. Condo was in the “east” wing -

    Oh this yellow dreamy two bedroom really is a coastal paradise! Gulf Dunes is located in the ideal spot right at the beginning of Okaloosa Island within walking distance of the restaurants and shops nearby. You are also a close walk down the beach to the Fishing Boardwalk where there are fun things for the kids to do and see. Fully equipped functional kitchens make our condominium rentals the economical way to vacation!   We were very pleased with our condo & vacation overall! The condo was just what we were looking for! The kitchen was very equipped with dishes & utensils, the rooms were spacious & clean, we appreciated the ease of getting our luggage & goceries up to our condo with the complimentary carts and smooth running elevators, we absolutely loved our view & the balcony was one of our favorite spots to hang out!
  The only suggestions I would have would be to update the pillows on the couches and on the king size bed in the master bedroom. They were looking a little weathered & soiled and the full size beds in the second bedroom could use an update as well. Other than that we were very very happy with our condo!!

We will definitively book this condo again when visiting the Ft Walton Beach area. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint was I wish check in was closer to 2:00 pm rather than 4:00 pm.

  Gulf Dunes 404 was perfect for our party of five. The condo was perfectly clean and had starter supplies of most items needed. The view was great and the complex itself was clean and peaceful, a great escape. We also liked that the beach chairs are just a short walk from the boardwalk.   This was our fist "family" vacation in 22 years. My husband was diagnosed with brain cancer in Jan. 2016, our 8 year old granddaughter had never seen the ocean and we wanted to be with her when she did. So, we planed a get away for the family and it was perfect. It was good to spend time with our two boys, daughter in law and granddaughter. We had plenty of space with all the conveniences we needed. There were a few spaces that could have been cleaner but all in all it was perfect. (pantry closet where trash can sat)

  My trip home was shorter than I'd liked it to be but, this condo more than made up for the limited time I had. This was the perfect size for myself and a few family members from out of town to all stay together. It was better than expected and I honestly can't wait to come back. This condo has beautiful views from the living room and the master bedroom! The bunk room was perfect for my younger brother to crash in and the 2nd guest room was ample in size and comfort. And the beds..... WOW! They were like sleeping on clouds! I got to sleep on a cloud and listen to the ocean each night! Can you ask for anything better?! 100% happy with my stay and thank you for offering such a great get-away. My only issue was that I had to leave. :)

  We went to Ft. Walton for my niece's wedding last week. We rented 3 condos for all our family. Each one was beautiful. The resort was spotless everywhere we went and the staff was great. The view was breathtaking. Our condos allowed for a 3 night stay which was what we needed instead of renting for the week. My niece walked out of her condo onto the beach and married her love with the beautiful ocean in the background. We will definitely come back and stay here.

  This condo is definitely the one we will continue to go back to each time we visit Fort Walton. Not only was the location spectacular, the condo was super clean, roomy, and very well decorated. The people on the beach were pleasant and the water was perfect. We had the chance to do some canoeing, a dolphin ride, visit to the Gulfarium, plus enjoy many days soaking in the sun on the beach and watching the children make sandcastles. The kitchen was equipped with necessities for cooking when we felt like it. The condo location gave us the opportunity to walk the beach at night and enjoy each other's company. We have already planned next summer's beach trip at Gulf Dunes 404 and stay longer!!

  This was our first time to stay in a condo and we had a great time. The room was really nice, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean with the exception of the carpet which seemed to be worn. I wore white socks in the condo and they were were black after wearing them. Other than that it was very quiet and everyone was really friendly. We would definitely recommend it!

  We were very happy with the unit we rented. It was very clean. The bed in the master bedroom was very, very comfortable. We had a nice view of the Gulf. The staff was friendly. The only thing we were not crazy about was the pool area, but we usually stay on the beach anyway so that didn't really matter.
