  Room was nice, weather was awful. We purchased trip insurance in hopes to cover the unexpected, but it remains to be seen if it was truly worth the added expense. Day was windy with occasional showers , day two was rainy and very windy, day three was miserable. Day 4 Lights went out. Elevator stopped working for the remainder of our stay. Stuck on the island due to water over the roads. Stores and restaurants were closed on day 5, still blowing and somewhat wet. Day 6 sunny and beaches were littered with debris. Time to huff our luggage down from the 4th floor because the Elevator was still out. The only thing nice about the stay was the room.

  Beautiful condo and property. Great view of the beach. People are very loud at night and in the morning going down the hall. This condo has the bedroom right next to the hall near the elevator. Also, we specifically asked if the hot tub was open, and told yes by the management company over email, but it had been closed for over a month and a half due to covid.

  It was absolutely wonderful!! The condo was very clean. It had everything we needed there for our stay. There were even toys for the beach included. We even had a problem with our refrigerator leaking and I submitted the problem to maintenance and they were there within 30 minutes to look at and solve the problem. Now that is service!!!   PERFECT place to stay for a laid back vacation - if you want to do activities, there are plenty to choose from. The available beach chairs/umbrella was a huge plus - we have had to pay extra for these at other places. We didn't take advantage of the golfing or the snorkeling, but the dolphin cruise was great. Had lots of great meals and many hours of staring at the ocean, relaxing and recharging.

  The condo was very nice. It was decorated well. The television in the living room was smaller than advertised and the couch was very uncomfortable, but we dealt with both. The ice maker did not work very good, luckily I had brought my counter top one from home. The bed was not very comfortable for either of us, 3 days after leaving and still a bit stiff. The a/c worked great and we had plenty of hot water. The view from the balcony was the best part. We attempted to use the free movie offer but it never worked. But the WIFI was on the money. We have been vacationing on the island for the last 30 years and have yet to be disappointed. Looking forward to next year!

There are two movie machines at the Pelican Isle and the one for our guests is out in the garage, maybe you were at the one in the lobby?   We had a great time! The condo was very nice. The only negative things we have to say about it was the couch wasn't very comfortable to sit on and the bed to soft. You actually sank into it.   I liked the location of the property. Room was as advertised. It had tons of kitchen utensils and cooking dishes. Excellent view. Bed was pretty comfortable and I am very picky. Elevator did break twice while we were there in a week's time.
  Beach chair service was great most days except our last day. Guys started putting up the chairs to early and then we had to set up our own chairs. Contacted management and the number on the app and they said there was nothing they could do. Obviously they have contracted this labor and have the ability to demand certain services he better but they chose to do nothing. So I would guess as long as you have no issues you will enjoy your stay but if you need something corrected, don't expect this group to anything.

  There were four of us on the trip. My wife and I and my step-daughter and her fiancé. We all loved the place. It was great to see and hear the beach all the time. The beach and equipment was well taken care of. The pool and spa were more than adequate for being on the beach. The room with excellent. The location is great (it is close to the main drag but far enough away so you aren't bothered by the traffic and congestion. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay and we will come back to this place again.

    You hit the nail on the head with your feedback on staying at the Pelican Isle. I love the location of the property, being further down the Island affords you more peace and privacy, with the military land nearby. But like you mention you definitely are close enough to restaurants and stores to enjoy those as well. Fort Walton Beach is the perfect vacation spot for a small family we are so pleased you enjoyed everything while staying with us. The views are simply stunning and you don't get any closer to the beach than these condos.   Overall we had a great stay, we did have a few issues but they were addressed as soon as I sent an email. The furniture does need some updates the dresser drawer in the master bedroom was almost broken and a shelf in living room very wobble. For the price I expected a little more. Very noisy being that your bedroom window is next to hall way and next to elevator. The view was amazing! The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful.

  Everything was as described. The unit was clean and ready on time. The balcony view was amazing. When we were at the unit we were out on the balcony. The only sad part is they allow smoking out on the balcony, so the smoke from nearby units often blew over to our balcony. The inclusion of beach chairs and umbrella with the unit was very nice. They had the chairs set up on the beach early each morning. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

The granite in the kitchen and the huge flat screen TV in the living room make for a super comfortable upscale vacation home. You are right about the views, being right on the Emerald Coast you don't get a better view than this at the Pelican Isle. Also, the pull out couch is not made for sleeping, it was AWFUL!!! Otherwise, our stay was FABULOUS!! Love being right on the beach and the kids loved the pool as well.

    Thank you for taking the time to submit some feedback for us so we would know you enjoyed your stay in 410 at the Pelican Isle! Did you receive all your CONFIRMATION EMAIL LETTERS about your booking when you made the booking and then when you paid in full? You should have received a few of our confirmation emails and those would be where you'd get the information on what to bring and not to bring etc. There's a list of the starter supplies that are in the condo when you arrive, and it does say on there we suggest you bring TP, trash bags, dish soap, detergent, regular soap, as we ONLY PROVIDE STARTERS of these. The starters give you enough time to get here stay a night and unload and have time to get to the store the following day to get supplies. The luggage carts are located in the garage at the Pelican Isle, as with all properties the luggage carts are VERY used on check-in and out days, so maybe they were being used a lot on your arrival day? This would be something though that we'd be more than happy to tell you upon check-in. We'll be sure to make note to mention this specifically to future arrivals. Thank you for the positive comments, we are so glad you enjoyed the view from this condo. It doesn't get any better than the Emerald Coast!!

Apologies that you did not find the king bed in the master bedroom suitable, this does have a brand new FOAM mattress topper-maybe this is different than what you're used to.   We loved our stay at Pelican Isle! Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Our condo was great. One slight negative, it was located right next to the elevators. The master bedroom is in the front of the condo so from there you can hear all the chatter at the elevators. Quiet time is 10pm and we didn't really have a problem after then. We have young kids though so we're usually in bed before 10pm.

  My wife and I actually were not planning on staying at the Pelican Isle to begin with. We originally had a condo at a different Brooks and Shorey property, but had to move for a couple of reasons I won't go into. Luckily, Brooks and Shorey had Pelican Isle 410 as a floater condo at that time! We loved the decor and obviously the view. The condo was one of the most comfortable feeling condos I have ever stayed at. We felt at home the moment we walked through the door. The bed was comfortable, the living room couch was nice, it was just an overall great stay.
  
  I highly recommend PI 410 as well as an Brooks and Shorey property. They will take care of an issues you have and are very helpful and reasonable all around.

  Our time at the Pelican Isle complex was a wonderful experience. The facility was very clean, though the elevators could use a little attention, but not a big deal, they do get a lot of use. It is apparent that this management company cares about keeping the place in working condition. It was good to always see somebody around working, fixing, and cleaning different areas of the property. The staff at the check-in/out desk were very helpful in explaining everything or any other questions throughout the week. The complimentary amenities were a fantastic bonus to our stay (free DVD rentals, free rounds of golf, free dolphin excursions...& more). The unit itself was very nice and clean and had most everything we needed to stay for our time. Everything worked, especially the A/C which was GREAT after a warm beach day, the satellite TV had all the popular channels one would want, and all the appliances were working just fine. Overall it was a VERY pleasant experience. The best feature was the balcony with the "million dollar view" of the gulf...FANTASTIC !!! I would highly recommend this unit at The Pelican Isle complex, and the FT Walton/Destin area.

  Pelican Isle 410 is a excellent condo. Would defintely recommend to anyone. Very clean condo all the way around. Plus had all the ammenities. I guess the best part was the "view". I mean a breathe-taking view.

  The bed in the master was amazing. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrella was a nice surprise. The view of the beach as well as the pool allowed us to keep track of our 13 year old daughter and the friend she brought. Also the Sea Blaster is something everyone must do and it was complimentary as well. We liked our stay so much everyone wanted to stay an extra night, we stayed in a different room the last night because everything was booked so I can recommend Unit # 410 mainly for the mattress the owners have in the master as well as the quality of furniture in the den. The furniture in 410 was much more comfortable than the unit we stayed in the last night.

  This unit is close to the elevator which is a Plus.(carts are available for loading and unloading) The view is fabulous. Everything you will need is provided, plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, etc. The provision of beach chairs and umbrellas(at no cost) is a great amenity. They are set up early and taken down late so you have plenty of time on the beach. There are lots of coupons provided for discount meals, free movies, and other entertainment. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property.
