  We love the island princess resort, this is the second year in a row we’ve stayed in this complex! Our condo was spacious, the beds were all super comfortable, and the view is great!
  
  A few recommendations
  - more seating in the living room
  - a new coffee pot- the coffee was almost impossible to drink
  - an exterminator- we had gnats everywhere, every room, from the minute we walked in
  - new patio furniture- it looks like it’s made with PVC pipe, and it isn’t well made and not very comfortable
  
  The condo just needs a little TLC and would be perfect. We also love Brooks and Shorey and will book our next October getaway with them also!

  The rooms were very clean, well maintained. Would have like to have had a griddle or large pots/pans to cook with. We had 6 in our group and fixing meals was harder due to the size of pans. The dishwasher wasn't the best and didn't clean well but I have 2 working hands. Otherwise, the pictures do not do justice for this unit., The unit was large and we had a great deal of space. I am a resort owner at Myrtle Beach and I am a hotel snob. So, when I say I would stay again the place must be nice. The unit was great!!The only thing that prevents me from returning would be I would have like to have more accommodations in the hotel in general such as a gift shop, restaurant, bar/grill would be lovely. Otherwise I would most certainly return.

  We have stayed in this condo 2 years in a row. As far as the condo goes we were well pleased both times. It was clean & everything was very nice & well kept. The reason for the 4 stars this year was because #1 - There were no blankets or covers for the hide-a-bed, #2 there were no potholders, dish towels or dish clothes #3 There was a problem with the balcony sliding door that was temporarily repaired when we arrived on Saturday night. We were told by maintenance that someone would be contacting us on Monday to permanently repair it. No one showed up all week. It wasn't that big of deal, but we just had to be careful with opening the door.

  This condo was in the perfect spot! We went over spring break and we’re worried about the crowds. Even on the prettiest day there was plenty of room on the beach to social distance. We enjoyed walking to the pier to shop and eat. It is only a mile walk along the beach.
  The condo was very spacious and provided everything that we needed. We were able to sit on the balcony and watch all the dolphins in the mornings and early evening. The elevator can be slow but if you go to one of the side elevators it is much quicker.
  Overall it was a great location and spacious condo! Would definitely stay here again!

  Hello! We visited Ft. Walton Beach the first week of June 2019. We stayed in Island Princess #709. The unit was exactly as pictured on the website. It was clean and well maintained. The property was in a great location. The property manager and staff at Brooks and Shorey were very professional and courteous. They provided a wealth of information about the area. We visited the Gulf Aquarium along with restaurants and activities at Margaritaville in Destin which is only six miles away. We enjoyed shopping and being right on the beach. We had a great vacation and I would definitely recommend Island Princess to my family and friends!

  We really enjoyed our stay. Fort Walton was a pleasant surprise and will certainly stay there again. As for the unit at the Island Princess, our first impressions was WOW but then we waited in line for a single elevator. Once on the elevator we heard what sounded like air conditioning but instead it was just HOT. The unit we stayed in was nice and clean. The views were what we paid for and it did not disappoint. We did find that one of the cable box remotes was missing and we had to do some impromptu plumbing when we realized the garbage disposal didn’t work. The kids weren’t very happy about the WIFI speeds, not sure if our unit had its own WIFI or if we were on the complex WIFI...assuming the complex since our unit didn’t show up in options. Don’t want to sound negative because we truly had a wonderful week at the Island Princess and understand how easy it is for little things to go wrong. My wife really appreciated the beach tent/chair option that came with our unit as we used it every day. My boys enjoyed playing volleyball on the net already set up...I brought a net and was happy to see it there. Overall our stay was enjoyed by my family and we would consider staying here again without a doubt.

Island Princess, is a larger property with 3 elevators (one on the center of the building, and one on each end), and the building is quiet and busy especially during summer time. The entire building has wireless Internet - that way there is an access to it in any part of the property.   We enjoyed our first stay at Island Princess with the exception of the mattresses in the front bedroom and the master bedroom. I think they really need upgraded to some new mattresses. The one in the front bedroom had a hump of something folded over under the flat sheet couldn't get to it to see what the problem was. Also, there needs to be some kind of hand rail in the tub/shower of that room also.The floors in the entire untire unit need to be mopped and cleaned.

  Overall it was a great stay. The 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit was spacious, well-kept and appointed. There was an ample supply of towels and toilet paper. They supply 1 dishwasher cube and trash bag and a starter roll of paper towels but it was well communicated to us to bring extra. The elevator to the 7th floor where unit is located worked fine; no problems as were in previous reviews.
  There was seating for 5 in the living room area (nice-nice couch and 2 chairs) but there were 6 adults in our group so only suggestion would be to add another comfy chair to the living room setup.
  Maintenance responded quickly for slow-draining shower and fixed this. The water pressure and temperature fluctuates which we just accepted.
  There was loud music heard well after 11pm from the unit next door (#710) but because Brooks and Shorey does not manage that unit we had no recourse. Brooks and Shorey called us back promptly upon our distressed after-hours, late night message about it (which was appreciated!) but again, no recourse. We were told we could call the sheriff’s department which put the problem back in the guest’s lap. Doing something that drastic was not what we wanted our vacation to be about. Again, not our scene to do that even though we were really distressed to not get much sleep that first critical night, weary of travel and the typical sleep deprivation with which one heads into a much anticipated vacation. Loud music occurred next night but not as long. Who goes to the beach and plays head-banger music at night like that? There was not an enjoyable quality to it at all or else we would have found a silver lining. The shore has the most beautiful, edifying sounds a soul needs!
  But again, the overall stay wasj great and we had a wonderful time. We would most likely stay here again and would recommend.

  If it weren't for the poorly working elevators, I would give the property's general condition a 5. They are 1 star elevators (very slow and even got stuck, as well as one of them went completely out). in a 5 star condominium. When I asked the office person about the middle elevator not working, she shrugged it off and said she had just rode it 20 minutes ago, but as it turns out, it was stuck on the 7th floor. I made the phone call to alert the staff and they took care of it then.

  The elevator is horribly slow and humid. We were on the 7th floor so it didn't make sense to take the stairs. Parking pass was not issue for all vehicle in a timely manner.

    We are sincerely apologetic that the property elevator was disappointing, being on the top floor does make it difficult to take the stairs we agree unfortunately this aspect of the property is something that we have no control over but we do provide parking passes in your condo for your arrival and we are very sorry for any error in that, we have taken on the new paperless check-in procedure so it's a new system, we are up to human error as well. We do have an office on the island within walking distance of any of our condos where we can get you extra parking passes 830-5 also we can sometimes get them to you for your convenience in other ways just give us a call next time! Thanks for your patience and understanding please come back for another visit on the charming Emerald Coast perhaps in a different property?!

  This condo was almost perfect. We all slept great in our comfy beds and the condo was very nice and clean. I only have two complaints. We rented two movies to watch only to discover that the DVD player didn't work. Also, we couldn't get the drain stoppers in the bathtubs to work. Other than that this condo was perfection and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful. We visited the Gulfarium as well as drove to Pensacola to the naval aviation museum. The drive to Destin was easy as well.   We have stayed at other Island Princess condos before, so we have always liked the location. The view of the beach was perfect and there was plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 children. The only complaint I had about this unit was there was no interior lock on the door, so my 2 year old kept opening the door and running out into the hallway. We had to use a chair to put up under the handle at night to feel a little security. And there is no peephole, so a maintenance guy knocked on the door while we were there and I wasn't able to see who it was before opening the door.

Unfortunately an interior lock is not included with this key-less system and we are sorry to hear you had a little trouble with this. This key-less entry system has proven itself to be highly beneficial to not only our guests but also to our company as well as it does keep a digital entry log of whom has accessed the unit, at what time, and for how long, it also provides our guests with the added convenience of not having to keep track of keys for the duration of their stay. Although it's not a flawless system we certainly feel like the benefits outweigh any contentions.

  Very comfortable accommodations. Kitchen was well furnished and clean. Great location. Beautiful pool area and clean. The vacation was so relaxing and enjoyable at the Island Princess we are strongly considering returning next fall. My wife had a misfortunate happening in the parking garage. We had room 709 and the parking spot had the cement column in this particular parking spot. Her brother became ill and in attempting to get to a drug store for medication, of course in somewhat of a hurry she scraped the side door of our van on the edge of the column scraping off about a foot and a half area of paint. I surveying this situation I would propose the parking spot be shifted to the west to allow ample parking space along with the column being wrapped in industrial material where another possible mishap could occur. Also, it was a shame the sliding doors were not cleaned. They were quite dirty from the ocean air and blocked most of the view. Otherwise, the stay was great! Really enjoyed Bubba Gumps, McGuire's, Donut Hole, A.J.'s as usual. The gift coupon for the Sea Blaster was nice. The beach chairs and umbrella were really great and we were most appreciative of this amenity also. Thank you for hospitality and the gals at the office for their kindness and helpfulness in directing us to some new places to eat and local activities including some fruit markets!

  The biggest issue we had was 1) slow elevators and 2) teenagers at the pool well past 11p and 3) never could use the hot tub because of all the little kids playing in it. The wifi was really good in our unit. The unit itself was comfortable. You guys could make a lot of money by putting an ice bag machine on the facility. We made 3 trips to get ice.

There is ample parking on site. There are assigned spots and this unit does come with garage parking.   If you are looking for a place on the Gulf Coast with the "Wow factor" this is it. The condo is lovely but the view that greets you when you walk in is the main attraction. Clean white sand and blue ocean. No complaints at all about the condo. Clean, attractive and well located. Even after-hours check in was a breeze. The 3 bathrooms are great for a group. Our unit had covered parking, a blessing in the sun. We will definitely be returning and to the same unit.

  We had an overall very satisfying trip. We have used Brooks Shorey 4 times now and Island Princess 3 times and have no problems with either. Our only snag to the whole trip was the waiting line for beach umbrellas. My husband and daughter had to wait in line about an hour a day to get an umbrella. A large group had tipped enough that they reserved almost every chair in the front line, whether they used them or not. I don't think that was too fair, but it's what we dealt with. Property is nice, great view and we love FWB area. This was our 7th trip there.

  Great location with plenty of parking. Nicely decorated with a well appointed kitchen. A few problems would have made it better. The dryer was broken (repaired in about 24 hrs). One tub drain was stopped up. Make sure to bring extra trash bags and bars of soap. Other than the dryer and drain this is a great place to stay. Great ocean front view.

This was the cleanest and whitest beach sand I have ever been on. The water is emerald green and beautiful. Between 8-9am you can watch the dolphins go by. The view from this condo was outstanding. 3Bds & 3 Bath perfect setting for 3 couples. This complex was very quiet and clean. The pool and hot tub are very well maintained. Most relaxing vacation ever. If you want to be DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH and RELAX, this CONDO IS FOR YOU. Stayed 6 days and 5 nights back to the grind stone tomorrow :(
