Gulf Dunes Condominiums is close to Fort Walton’s shopping and dining and a mere ten minutes from Destin. Stroll along the beach to the Okaloosa fishing pier or Boardwalk.   This is the perfect family vacation spot. We had 6 people and it was perfect. Each room having its own bathroom was perfect. This unit was so clean I didn’t have to clean anything on my own, as I am very picky. The pier was under a mile walk to. We took Uber there for dinner then walked back home every night. Plenty of kitchen items to cook, which we cooked every breakfast and lunch there.
  We had the absolute best time! You get two chairs if you want right out front. You can pay extra for more if you need them. Get out early to save your spot with a towel. You can pay extra to use the paddle board they have too. Best ever place to eat right across the street too. Wow it was good! Stewbys!!
  Really, I did a ton of research before renting this place and I’m so happy I did. So I hope I’ll save you some time... rent this one.

  I've used Brooks and Shorey for many years and have rented in Gulf Dunes through them many times. The units are always clean and well-maintained. 401 was the first time I've had a corner unit and the extra windows and views were spectacular.
  
  The only complaint I have is the ramp leading down to the beach. My main reason for renting at Gulf Dunes is for the ramp because my elderly mom has trouble with stairs. There is a huge step down from the end of the ramp onto the beach. I watched a lot of people have trouble navigating the huge step from my balcony. Please fix this for your guests with mobility issues.

  The unit was a great corner unit. Parking garage was perfect with assigned spaces, however we had two vehicles and had asked for a second pass to park outside. Did not get one and didn't want to waste time looking for the main office so took our chances. The day before we left my dauggters car had a note left on it, so we flipped it over and gave our unit number and that we were leaving the next morning. Would definitely recommend staying here again. Also, if beach chairs come with your unit, be sure to take lots of cash to give the attendant if you want on the front row.

  We spent 5 days in this Condo and it was exactly as we expected. The apartment was very nice clean and in good shape.
  We loved the view from the balcony and have ready the umbrella and chairs on the beach. Also the unit has 2 additional beach chairs that we could use.
  The only minor things that I will recommend from improvement are: the internet connection was not good and in our case was important as some of the family members gas to work some hours during the stay. Also, I would recommend fix one of the blinders of the living room and the storage bin from the fridge that was broken before we arrived . Still these things were minor and I would recommend this place to anyone .

  The beds were not that comfortable and the living room furniture could have been updated. We did have a bad experience with the female who was responsible for the beach chairs. She was very hateful when she made us just use two chairs instead of the three we were using. It was during the week and and there was hardly ANY ONE using them. It seems like you would want it to look like your condos were being rented. We did not have any trouble with the gentleman who was responsible for the chairs the other times of the week. However, we had a grand week and the balcony furniture was very comfortable and a great view. Coffee in the morning on the balcony rocks. Thank you for a great week.

Each extra chair and any additional umbrellas you may want to rent can be rented through the beach service at a daily or weekly price.   Stayed a full week in this 4th floor condo. Beautiful view! Property was clean and well maintained. The Sea Blaster Water adventure was out of this world for kids learning to snorkel. The only complaints were - no shampoo or conditioner anywhere and if it rains, the balcony has no drainage. The water puddles a few inches deep. Still an amazing property and we will return!

  This was our first trip to the Ft. Walton Beach area. This rental was in a great location. Beach access and proximity was our main focus and we got both. The unit was clean and spacious. Eight of us stayed here and we were all comfortable. Each bedroom had its own full bathroom, which was fully stocked. We spent most of our time on the patio, which was beach facing. There were tables and chairs provided on the patio. Each morning we'd go out there to enjoy coffee, watch the boats go by, and see all the beach activity. Every now and then we'd see dolphins swimming around in the gulf. This unit far exceeded our expectations. It was our home away from home. Can't wait to go back. We will definitely stay in this condo again.

  My family and my neighbor's family were in town for a National Dance Competition for our daughters. We had four adults, two teenagers and one ten year old child. Condo was very clean and easily spacious enough for the seven of us. The view is spectacular. The unit itself and the property overall are well maintained. Staff is very friendly. The only two real downsides were that the pool was small (but we did not choose this condo for the pool). We are non-smokers and the unit was clearly a non-smoking unit and smelled fresh. However, this unit and most (if not all) other condo units in this project allow renters to smoke on the porch. When your neighbors are smoking on their porch and you want to eat or drink and enjoy the view outside on your porch you are subject to the odor and smoke of the smoking neighbors. But to be fair this is common in all the condo projects on not just Gulf Dunes. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend it to others.

All our properties have different amenities with different pool sizes and things to do on location. They all do allow the smoking on the balcony unfortunately this is part of most of the property rules established by the Homeowner's association. We appreciate your patience in all this!!   Pictures actually don't do justice. Condo was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Kitchen had every item you could think of including Kuerig and crock pot. Furnishings were nice. Master was huge. Great view, end unit with covered parking space. The only negative is that even though there are 2, the pool is extremely small. We loved this unit and will book it again.

  We had a great time and enjoyed the Gulf Dunes. The property was very good and the unit we stayed in was well equipped with cooking utensils and towels, a few more blankets could have been used but that is just some people are colder than others. The front bedroom with the full size bed was not very cool compared to the rest of the unit. For the people sleeping in this room the others had to be cold for them to be comfortable. Otherwise a good experience overall.

  This is the first time our family has come this late in the year and we loved the whole experience. The weather was great and the water beautiful! We always stay with Brooks and Shorey and have been very, very pleased. This year the condo was not as clean as in years past and that was a little disappointing . We could not enjoy the balcony at night because someone was smoking and that was a disappointment. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We will be back!
